With the rapid development of modern industrial industry,composite materials are widely used.Traditional composite material cutting methods are mainly numerical control methods and manual methods.The numerical control method uses a CNC machine tool for cutting,and the manual method uses a band saw for manual cutting.The numerical processing method has high processing cost,and dust generated during processing will affect the precision of the machine tool,and it is difficult to ensure the precision of the sample by manual cutting with a band saw.In order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional composite cutting methods,this paper carried out the design and research of the composite material cutting machine.Based on the theoretical analysis and the practical application of composite materials,the structure and properties of carbon fiber composites were analyzed,and the efficient cutting technology of carbon fiber composites was proposed.Then the design requirements were analyzed and the overall design of the high-efficiency cutting equipment for composite materials was completed.The main research content of the paper includes:⑴According to the functional requirements of the equipment,its mechanical structure is composed of a high-precision two-dimensional translation system,a high-speed spindle,and auxiliary devices such as cooling,dust removal,and compression.The two-axis motion in the high-accuracy two-dimensional translation system is achieved by using precision guide rails and lead screws to ensure two-dimensional translational mechanical accuracy.⑵Due to the diversity of the thickness of the test piece,in order to ensure fast and accurate compression of the test piece,a pneumatic pressing device is used and the air cylinder is used as the compression actuator.Since the cylinder can directly perform pressure feedback,it can automatically determine whether the sample is pressed tightly during operation.Therefore,cylinders are used in both the cutting area and the pressed area of the sample,which can achieve the accuracy and stability of the cutting process.⑶A digital control system based on STEP_NC and with electricity,liquid and gas is designed for this equipment.The control system selects SINUMERIK 828 D as the control body,enabling operators to program their own cutting according to different process needs.The servo drive system is an S120 servo driver that interacts with the PPU via the Profinet industrial network.The achievements of the thesis research institute can provide participation and reference for the in-depth study of composite material processing technology and the development of related equipment.
