Based on the preliminary design scheme of the Selective Laser Melting(SLM)rapid prototyping equipment,this paper improves the original design scheme for the problems of light metal powder molding such as magnesium alloy,focusing on the problems of vacuum chamber,dust cleaning and gas circulation.Firstly,the characteristics and equipment requirements of lightweight materials such as magnesium alloy are combined,and the shortcomings in the design scheme are analyzed.Corresponding improvement measures are proposed to adapt to the processing of light metal such as magnesium alloy.The micro-oxygen environment inside the original program has a low efficiency.A vacuum pump is added to the design to quickly evacuate the chamber,then fill in the shielding gas,and use the topology optimization to lightly design the chamber.When the molding equipment uses parts such as magnesium alloy for machining parts,the laser mirror will be polluted by smoke and dust,and a protective mirror cleaning device is designed to clean the laser mirror during the processing of the parts.Since the purification efficiency of the circulating gas inside the silo is low,the improvement of the gas flow in the silo is carried out by using the fluid mechanics analysis software CFX by setting different airflow inlets.The optimized gas protection mode shortens the time required for the formation of the micro-oxygen environment by about 50%,and the weight of the warehouse structure is18.4% based on the rigidity strength requirement.Improvements By adding a mirror cleaning device,the possibility of a laser mirror being dangerous is avoided.According to the analysis result of the airflow in the warehouse,the airflow inlet is modified into a plurality of rectangular holes,which effectively improves the filtration efficiency of the circulating gas to the smoke.
