With the development of economy,the transportation industry in our country has developed rapidly.In traditional electric locomotive,its top cover is made of metal material.But in the actual process of moving,influenced by outside factors,flashover phenomenon,especially the pantograph support insulator near the roof pressure on top corners often lead to discharge phenomenon,the top cover is high voltage electrical injury,even breakdown,high maintenance costs,and a serious threat to the safe operation.In order to solve this problem,the research on the application of glass fiber composite in top cover of plateau electric locomotive is carried out in this paper.The main contents and conclusions are as follows:?1?according to the standard of GB311.1-2012,where the altitude is higher than that of 1000 m test,the voltage is mainly local rated withstand voltage and altitude correction factors?Ka H for equipment installation site altitude?of the product obtained by numerical calculation,which under the Fang Chengru Ka:Ka=eq?H-1000?/8150In the normal rail transportation,q=1 is generally selected,while the impact withstand voltage =243KV,short power frequency withstand voltage =95KV/1min,Ka=1.45.These values are substituted into the formula,and after corresponding calculation,the composite insulation requirements of the insulating roof can be known.?2?investigated the composite roof specimen material system selected in this paper and the molding preparation method.The results show that the main performance can be achieved are: tensile strength 253 MPa,flexural strength 286 MPa,impact toughness?unnotched?260MPa,fire rating?DIN5510-2?S4,SR2,ST2,and the lightning impulse withstand voltage are 75 KV and 175 kV.?3?the preparation process of composite roof and the whole lightning impact test were investigated.The results show that the composite cap made by vacuum introduction can bear more than 175 KV of lightning impulse voltage.Through the above analysis,we can see that in the environment of the plateau,the HXD1 C plateau car with insulated top cover is installed.In general,flashover can be avoided.Through the research on the composite showed that fiber reinforced polymer composites have excellent insulation,which is widely used in the roof of electric locomotive,which greatly improve the safety of the vehicle,greatly reduces the probability of the accident,made a great contribution to the development of transportation industry in China.
