Tap is an important part of the hardware and the sanitary ware,and it's quantity is increasing as well as the demand for surface quality is higher and higher,thus the polishing equipment requires not only high efficiency but also good processing technology.However,the majority of domestic sanitary industries are using manual polishing method to process tap,manual polishing is not only inefficient,but also the consistency of the products produced by polishing is poor,therefore it is necessary to develop a numerical control automatic polishing equipment.This paper is a study on the key technologies of adaptive and constant pressure grinding on the six axis four station polishing machine,the main contents are as follows:First of all,based on the analysis of the mechanical structure and working principle of the six axis four station polishing machine tool,the hardware configuration and overall control scheme of six axis four station polishing machine are studied.Deep research on the relationship between spindle motor current and polishing pressure is made,the amount of normal compensation required to maintain the constant pressure is obtained after the wheel is worn.Apply the kinematic inverse solution to assign this normal compensation amount to each moving axis to complete the adaptive constant pressure control.Then,based on HNC-8 CNC system underlying robot functions,the real-time compensation function of the machine tool after grinding wheel wear is studied and realized.In case of changing the wheel processing radius after completing the compensation,the speed of the spindle motor is adjusted by modifying the value of the spindle motor inverter to realize the function of constant linear speed grinding.In addition,the research on the oscillatory grinding function and the automatic compensation function of polishing wax in the PLC module of numerical control system is done.Finally,the design and implementation of the man-machine interface on the CNC system of six axis four station polishing machine are carried out.Application of teaching programming to complete acquiring coordinates point data when processing tag with the six axis four station polishing machine,and according to the coordinates of the collection to automatically generate processing trajectory.The special numerical control system of six axis four station polishing machine is applied to the actual production of water tap,realizing the automation of water tap polishing.
