This graduation thesis contains the following three parts.Part ?:The status of the propertie and reaction of s pecial olefinsThree types of special olefins were introduced in this part, namely electron-rich olefin,electron-poor olefin and strained olefin.Their properties and reactions were described respectivelyPart ?:Selectivity-s witchable oxidation of tetraarylethylenes?TAEs?This chapter was divided into two parts:the background introduction part and the experimental part.In the background section, synthetic methods and applications of TAE compounds were discussed in detail.A deeper understanding of the property of TAE came from our research on the single crystal diffraction data and computational analysis. In the experimental section,we synthesized TAE products form enynones.Selective oxidation of TAEs was accomplished via adjustment of oxidant. The tricyclic compound was isolated as the sole product when m-CPBA was used as the oxidant.Another product, indenone, was obtained instead when FeC l3 was applied as the oxidant. We had a better understanding of the reaction mechanism through controll experiments.Part ?:Study on the cyclization of norbornene?NBE?and aldehydeThis chapter was divided into two parts. In the background introduction section,we introduced the types of nonclassical cations, the properties and applications of norbornyl cations and the current research status of NBE and aldehyde. In the experimental section,we reinvestigated the reaction of NBE and aldehyde with nonclassical 2-norbornyl cation as the key intermediate. Two kinds of fused polycyclic compounds, oxatricyclic heterocycles and bicyclo-[3.2.1]-octane derivatives were obtained when In?OTf?3 and FeX3 were utilized, respectively. This approach provided a good pathway to study the properties of nonclassical2-norbornyl cation and an efficient access to oxytriciclic heterocycles as well as ring-expanded polycyclic compounds.
