Waterborne FEVE coatings is a kind of promising coatings,exhibiting excellent weather and corrosion resistance with reduced VOC.However,for the limitation of its structure and production condition,waterborne fluorocarbon coatings still have some drawbacks,such as flash erosion and poor adhesion.Carbon nanotubes were chosen as functional fillers to enhance a kind of two-component FEVE resin.In order to improve CNTs'dispersibility and capacity between CNTs and resin,polymer-encapsulated CNTs were prepared.The loading of dispersant,coalescer and deformers were optimized to prepare waterborne FEVE paint with different PVC?pigment volume concentration?.TiO2 was chosen as pigment.The mechanical properties,acid and alkali resistance,and neutral salt spray resistance were tested.As the loading of coalescer increases,the hardness?pencil test?decreases,the glossiness?60o?increases first,and then decreases slightly.At the maximum of glossiness,coatings become compact and exhibit better corrosion resistance.The CPVC of TiO2 in FEVE resin is 25%,with best acid?>45 d?and alkali?7 d?resistance and neutral salt spray resistance?1800 h?.Carbon nanotubes are famous for extraordinary mechanical and chemical properties.With low addition amount of CNTs,the properties of coatings improve remarkably.CNTs enhanced coatings with different addition amount were prepared and tested.Addition of CNTs can decrease the demanding of coalescer.CNTs aggregate in the coatings,the size of aggregates increase with the amount of CNTs from 1.2?m to 2.7?m.With low interaction force,CNTs peel off easily during soaking.For filling the pore between TiO2,the compact of coatings improve,exhibiting better alkali and salt fog spray resistance.PVAc-CNTs and V10-CNTs were prepared with better dispersibility and capacity with resins.The size of CNTs in coatings decrease sharply,especially V10-CNTs?500 nm?.Encapsulated can improve the acid,alkali and salt fog spray resistance of coatings with low loading of 0.5%.
