| China is a major producer and consumer of textiles.Millions tons of the textiles’ wastes are produced here every year.The traditional method of their utilization is landfill or incineration.Landfills occupy a large amount of land;therefore harmful substances of textile wastes can easily penetrate into the ground and contaminate the soil and groundwater.Incineration will produce a large amount of smoke,dust and harmful gases,causing air pollution.Both of these methods will cause the pollution of the ecological environment.Nowadays recycling of the textile waste is organized mainly through mechanical cutting,tearing,and opening.However,the resulting fiber has serious damage,short fiber length,and poor quality,which greatly reduces the value of fiber regenerationCompared with other woven fabrics,the untwisted woven fabrics have a yarn with no twist and the fibers are arranged in parallel.Then it is only necessary to separate its warp and weft yarn to obtain better spinning fibers.Therefore,in this paper,the fiber utilization and recycling system of fiber,spun,roving,untwisted yarns,untwisted fabrics,and recycled fibers are emphatically discussed.The key technologies of this system are untwisted spinning technology and the separation of warp and weft yarns from untwisted woven fabrics.First of all,spinning process of the untwisted yarns’ parallel fibers was analyzed during experiments.The surface structure of the produced yarn was carefully tested as well as hairiness,mechanical properties,and evenness.The experimental results show that twist of the wrapping layer has an important influence on the yarn quality of the yarn.The value of yarn twist was obtained to produce the coated yarn with uniform appearance,high strength,low hairiness,and low CV value.It was concluded,that the yarn,spun out of the regenerated fiber,can meet the requirements for non-plasma weaving.Then,the untwisted yarn was used to successfully weave the untwisted machine fabric,and the basic properties of the untwisted cotton fabric and the twisted cotton fabric were tested.The comparison has been made between ordinary woven fabrics and experimental woven fabrics.The fabric has small voids,small water shrinkage,good coverage,good stiffness,good windproof and warm effect,as well as good moisture absorption and drying ability.Its breaking strength and abrasion resistance are not as good as those of a fabric,but it can still guarantee daily use.Finally,according to the characteristics of the untwisted woven fabric,a untwisted woven fabric warp and weft yarn separating device was invented,which can realize fiber recovery of the flawless fabric,and the obtained fiber has small damage and high recovery value.It provides a new idea for the recycling of waste textiles. |
