Motor hanger is a peculiar suspension driving device of CRH.Two pulling motors of one motor car are connecting with motor hanger,of which the reliability is very important for train operation. To meet the requirements of its strength under complex conditions, according to the design scheme of welding motor hanger, the requirement of the component deformation after welding is within the tolerance range to ensure that no more machining.Under the premise of ensuring the deformation,it is necessary to control the range of welding residual stress. However,it has many weld beads when the motor hanger welding, and most of them are multi pass welding.Inappropriate welding sequence will cause more residual stress and deformation,it have an important effect on practical application of motor hangers. How to effectively control the welding residual stress and deformation is the important content of establishing a reasonable welding process scheme to ensure the welding quality. In this paper,we are taking the motor hanger as research object and basing on finite element analysis to research the effect of different welding sequence on welding residual stress and deformation. The finite element mesh model, the corresponding welding line, reference line and other related elements of welding simulation are established by using Hypermesh and Visual-Mesh software. Then the model is imported into the Sysweld software to endow the material properties and the loading of constraints. Finally the three kinds of welding sequences are simulated respectively.Based on the thermal elastic-plastic FEM,considering the calculation efficiency, the welding deformation and residual stress are calculated under different welding sequence.Through the comparative analysis of three different welding sequence simulation results of motor hangers, selected the optimal welding scheme,it provides reference for the actual process of the motor hanger.
