The universal cycloid gear is a cycloid gear with the isometric curve of the short amplitude outside cycloid as the tooth profile curve,which has the advantages of low sliding rate and stable transmission,and is suitable for the gear transmission with large speed ratio,high power,and small structure size.At present,the research on the universal cycloid gear mainly focuses on the tooth shape design and parameter optimization,but the research on its processing method is not sufficient,and without special machining machine tools.The application of the universal Cycloidal gears in RV Reducer is limited.Therefore,in order to simplify the machining technology of the universal cycloid gear,improve the machining efficiency,achieve the universal cycloid gear grinding by milling,this paper proposes to make use of five-axis NC machine to process the universal cycloid gear.The research on the tool path planning for five-axis NC machining of universal cycloid gear will focus on such aspects as the parametric modeling of universal cycloid gear,five axis NC tool path planning and machining simulation,cutter axis vector interference discriminate and processing,milling parameter optimization.The theoretical basis for the development of the large speed ratio of the universal cycloid gear reducer and the special machine for the universal cycloid gear is provided.The main research are as follows.(1)Parametric modeling of universal cycloid gear.Based on the coordinate transformation and the curve equidistant method,the mathematical model of the universal cycloid gear is established,and the non point boundary condition of the universal cycloid gear tooth profile is deduced.The parametric modeling of the universal cycloid gear is realized by using the UG three-dimensional modeling software.(2)Tool path planning for five-axis end milling of the universal cycloid gear.Based on the geometric characteristics of the universal cycloid gears and the NC machining technology,the end milling machining method of the universal cycloidal gear is proposed,and the tool path planning of cycloidal gear end Milling is obtained.Based on the end milling cutter five-axis milling model,the model of the vector interference discrimination and processing of the five-axis NC machining cutter axis is established.(3)NC programming and machining simulation of universal cycloid gear.As the UG programming software the platform,the NC programming and machining simulation of the universal cycloid gear is realized.Based on post builder Open source software,the post processing software of the NC program is developed.Based on the Vericut numerical control simulation software,the machining simulation of the universal cycloidal gear end milling is carried out,and the interference test of the cutter axis vector of the five-axis end milling machining of the universal cycloidal gear is realized.(4)An example and precision analysis of five-axis end milling of universal cycloid gear.Using five-axis NC machine to process the universal cycloid gear,and the gear prototype after finishing is obtained,and examines the feasibility of the tool path planning.The method the Zygo optical surface contour roughness meter and the hexagon image instrument to detect the tooth surface roughness and the tooth profile accuracy of the universal cycloid gear is proposed.The test results show that the end milling process of the universal cycloid gear reaches the grinding effect.Based on the orthogonal test method,the influence degree of spindle speed,feed speed,cutting depth and inclination of cutter shaft on the surface roughness and tooth accuracy of the universal cycloid gear are investigated.Based on multivariate linear regression analysis method,the universal cycloid gear of surface roughness and the tooth profile accuracy of forecasting model is established respectively,and the accuracy of the experiment is predicted.The effectiveness of the model is demonstrated by comparing the experimental results.
