Government has imposed more rules to control the pollutants emission,since the environmental issues has risen the public concern.The amount of active carbon with tremendous marketing value and idea applied prospects steady increased,which contribute to the research and application of active carbon.It is hot point that employing material of biomass make the active carbon,especially using the grand mills in the field of the environment.However,rare literature reported about preparing for the active carbon from grand mills?GCAC?and this were applied in the field of treating the floating water and sewage with heavy metals.Therefore,this study focuses on selecting optimize active agent to making GCAC,and applied it to the absorption of floating water as well as sewage contained heavy metals,accompany with investigating the mechanism of GCAC on the absorption of environmental pollutants.This result of this study can be taken reference for the treatment of floating water and sewage contained heavy metal.To begin with,active carbon was prepared from grand mill with using the different active agent like H4P2O7,H3PO4 and KOH.Preparing for the GCAC was employed to absorb the PBX and Ni2+in waste water,respectively.The effect of operating conditions?active time,temperature and the ratio of impregnation?on the absorption of pollutants were also considered.Analysis methods such as scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,BET specific surface area analyzer,Fourier transformed infrared?FT-IR?and Bohem titration were used to characterize the surface morphology,BET specific surface area,pore size and surface functional group of activated carbon,respectively.The results show that the best absorption performance of active carbon-H4P2O7(surface area was 1211 m2·g-11 and total function group was 3.156 mmol·g-1)on the pollutants PBX was under the activation temperature was 450?,one hour of activation time and impregnation set as 1.As for carbon-H3PO4,under the operating conditions,with 450?,the ration of impregnation was 1.5 and reaction time was one hour,was the optimize for absorbing the PBX.In this condition,the carbon-H3PO4 of surface area was 1006 m2·g-1and total function group was 1.724 mmol·g-1.on the other hand,the best absorption performance of active carbon-H3PO4(surface area was 1006 m2·g-1and total function group was 1.724 mmol·g-1)on the pollutants PBX.the best absorption performance of active carbon-KOH(surface area was 1898 m2·g-1and total function group was 2.251 mmol·g-1)on the pollutants PBX was under the activation temperature was 800?,two hour of activation time and impregnation set as 2.As for Ni2+,the best absorption performance of active carbon-H4P2O7(surface area was 1098 m2·g-11 and total function group was 4.156 mmol·g-1)was under the activation temperature was 400?,half hour of activation time and impregnation set as 1.25.the best absorption performance of active carbon-H3PO4,at 821 m2·g-11 of surface areas and 2.424 mmol·g-11 of total function groups,on the pollutants Ni2+was under the activation temperature was 400?,half hour of activation time and impregnation set as 1.5.while in term of carbon-KOH,the figure saw effective absorption of Ni2+,at 700?,one hour of activation time and the ratio of impregnation set as 1.Under this circumstance,the absorbing material's surface area was 1344 m2·g-1and total function group was 3.498 mmol·g-1.Secondly,through single factor experiment,the effect of various factors such as solution p H,absorption time and initial concentration on the absorption of PBX by contrast GACC with three kinds of active agent and making GACC with two-steps were discussed and the kinetics and isothermal of absorption were also considered.The results illustrated that the most effective absorption of this four kinds active carbon in the condition of solution p H is 7,absorbing the amount of PBX followed the order,active carbon-KOH>active carbon-H4P2O7>active carbon with two-steps.What's more,pseudo-second-order equation was satisfied for these four GACC.Langmuir isotherm absorption can be effectively used to clarify the mechanism of GACC on the absorption of PXBLast but not least,the effect of various factors such as solution p H,absorption time and initial concentration on the absorption of Ni2+by contrast GACC with three kinds of active agent and the methods of GACC by two-steps were discussed and the kinetics and isothermal of absorption were also considered.The results show that the most effective absorption of this four kinds active carbon in the condition of solution p H is 7,the amount of Ni2+absorbed increase with the growing solution p H,followed the order,active carbon-H4P2O7>active carbon-KOH>active carbon-H3PO4>active carbon-with two-steps.What's more,the model fitting of these four GACC were also satisfied pseudo-second-order equation.Langmuir isotherm absorption can be effectively used to clarify the mechanism of GACC on the absorption of Ni2+.
