Since the reform and opening-up,a large number of urban construction and industrial production came along with China's rapid urbanization,the excessive urban environmental pollution has brought serious consequences because of the people's neglect.Urban diseases are becoming increasingly prominen,the haze is wreaking havoc,the air quality decreased,the urban climate environment is destroyed,and people's health is endangered.As one of the main elements of urban microclimate,urban wind has a wider range of influence than other climatic factors,and it is more suitable for regulating with planning techniques.The urban center is the most dynamic area in the urban development process with large population density,and has a strong public activity.As an important part of the public space system in the central area of the city,the central plaza undertakes the majority of the outdoor communication and activities for citizens.So the advantages and disadvantages of its air environmental quality directly affect the health of urban residents.Because most of the downtown design combines the square with the pedestrian path,so exploring the relationship between the space design elements of pedestrian corridor and the wind environment of central plaza is particularly important for improving air quality.In the same case with the space environment variables,based on the perspective of a city planner,applies the method of multidisciplinary to explore the relationship between the wind speed in the city,the concentration of air pollutants in the city and the health of residents and the spatial design elements,The evaluation index of urban wind environment was constructed based on the relationship between the wind speed in the city,the concentration of air pollutants in the city and the wind comfort in outdoor activities.Proposed the particle swarm optimization algorithm to optimize the space design elements in order to improve urban air quality.Finally,take urumqi hi-tech zone(new urban area)diamond city's central business district of urban design as a case,the space design elements as variables,validate the particle swarm optimization algorithm is feasibility when optimizing the space design elements and provide guidance for practical engineering application.
