years.Spinning intelligentization is a general trend.There are no clear definitions for smart spinning at home and abroad.However,the equipment and technologies for intelligent applications are rather broad.Therefore,clarifing the definition of smart spinning and taking the automatic joint technology as an example to grasp the latest developments of the global intelligent spinning automatic joint technology accurately,and defing the future development trend of the intelligent spinning automatic joint technology are of great significance for enterprise technology innovation and R&D.Firstly,through the patent search and analysis of intelligent spinning in China's State Intellectual Property Office,the US Patent and Trademark Office,and the European Patent Office,the paper finds that the automatic joint technology at home and abroad is a research hotspot,mainly in automatic winders,Rotor spinning machines and spinning frames.Using patent search and analysis methods,quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis are combined to create a database using office Excel(including 101 Chinese patents,139 U.S.patents and 1,000 European patents).Using excel's function to visualize data,and then perform patent application analysis,patent application(permission)analysis,patent classification analysis and the distribution of patent countries on the automatic coning machine,rotor spinning machine,and spinning machine automatic joint technology patents retrieved by the three patent offices.Based on the analysis of them,it can be concluded that the research on the automatic joint technology of automatic winder and rotor spinning machine has gradually matured.In contrast,the development of the automatic joint technology of spinning frames is still in the
