In recent years,as a result of long-term human industrial activities, global warming has become increasingly serious and the greenhouse effect has intensified. The rising sea level, the melting of the Arctic and the Arctic glaciers, and the disappearance of some of the world's beautiful islands are all warnings that nature has given us.This also precisely reflects the increase in the greenhouse effect, and it is imperative to reduce emissions. The intensification of the greenhouse effect is closely related to our living environment, climate, and our own health. Therefore,we must strictly control greenhouse gas emissions.Jilin Province is an important old industrial base in China. The major agricultural provinces have relatively large greenhouse gas emissions. It is of great significance to explore the characteristics of greenhouse gas emissions in Jilin Province to achieve low-carbon development. The accounting of greenhouse gas emissions will enable us to clearly understand the source of greenhouse gas emissions and the emission trends in the region, and provide basis for formulating reasonable emission reduction directions and effective emission reduction plans.Based on the reading of the literature on greenhouse gas emissions accounting and its influencing factors, and consulting with experts from various fields, the paper has identified the scope of greenhouse gas emission accounting and accounting methods in five major areas of Jilin Province;Jilin was selected. From 1996 to 20 years of the province's time as the research cycle of this paper,we collected data on GHG emissions in the five major areas of energy activities, industrial production processes, agricultural activities, forestry activities, and waste disposal, according to the different conditions in different fields. The greenhouse gas accounting formula actually measured the greenhouse gas emissions in Jilin Province from 1996 to 2015,analyzed the current status of greenhouse gas emissions in Jilin Province, and used the STIRPAT model to analyze the factors affecting greenhouse gas emissions. The theoretical research and empirical research results show that:First,it is estimated that the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions during 1996-2015 has first increased and then slowly decreased, and the proportion of greenhouse gas emissions from energy activities has been at the core;Secondly,CO2 is the most important factor affecting global warming in CO2,N2O,and CH4 in Jilin Province, among which CO2emissions are dominated by fossil fuel consumption.Third, the carbon emission intensity of Jilin Province is continuously decreasing from 1996 to 2015,which is in line with the progress of science and technology in Jilin Province. There is a close relationship between economic growth, changes in the energy structure, and the adjustment of the industrial economic structure;the lower the energy intensity, the smaller the final energy consumption value compared to GDP,the higher the energy utilization rate.Fourth, the STIRPAT model shows that the per capita GDP has the greatest impact on greenhouse gas emissions, and the population with the smallest impact on greenhouse gas emissions.Based on the analysis results of Jilin Province's greenhouse gas emission accounting, this paper believes that improvements should be made from the following points:first, reduce the use of non-renewable energy sources and develop renewable energy sources;second, explore the application prospects of CO2 and actively implement CO2 Recycling and reuse;Third, expand forest land area and forest resources, increase forest carbon sink capacity;Fourth, rationally adjust economic development model and develop low-carbon economy.
