Abstract/Summary:
As the spinning process can maintain the continuity and integrity of the metal fiber and improve the tensile strength,yield limit and hardness of the finished product but can’t destroy the metallographic structure in the process,various bottomed cylindrical parts produced by spin forming process are widely used in aviation,aerospace,and military industries.In this article,the ABAQUS/Explicit software platform is used to simulate and analyze the spinning forming of the bottomed cylindrical part,and the best combination of process parameters obtained from the simulation analysis is verified by experiments.The main research contents of this article are as follows:(1)Understand the process parameters that affect the spinning forming of the bottomed cylinder and determine the spinning pass.In this paper,it is determined that the spinning method with seven passes(the first six passes for general rotation and seventh passes for strong spin)is used to spin the bottom cylinder parts.Due to the limited space,this article only focuses on the forming mechanism of the bottom cylinder and the effect of various process parameters on its forming process of the seventh pass.(2)The ABAQUS/Explicit software platform is used to build a 3D model with a bottomed cylindrical part using the 6th pass as the 7th pass 3D model blank and setting spinning parameters and performing simulation analysis.(3)Analyze the calculation results obtained from the simulation software,summarize the stress and strain distribution rules of the bottomed cylinder during spin forming.At the same time,summarize various forming defects and solutions that are easy to appear in the simulation process.(4)Through several sets of simulation tests,the optimal parameter combinations affecting the spinning forming of the bottomed cylindrical parts are summarized and verified by practical tests.According to the simulation results obtained by the ABAQUS/Explicit software platform,it can be concluded that the four sets of process parameters of the fillet radii,feedrate,working angle of the rotating wheel,and spindle speed are the key factors influencing the quality of spin forming with bottomed cylindrical parts.The group parameters are re-introduced into the simulation software to obtain the optimal combination of parameters satisfying the actual production(R2=8mm,?2=0.6mm/r,n1=200r/min,α2=20°),and the parameter combination is verified through experiments.The rationality,the above research results can effectively shorten the test cycle of producing cylindrical parts with bottom,and improve production efficiency.
