The paper studied the more commonly used automatic control technology in the grinding process,summarized the advantages and disadvantages of the grinding process,analyzed the control characteristics of the grinding machine and some factors that affect the operation of the grinding machine.The mill load was detected by the dual factors of mill current and mill noise.Several kinds of situations occurred in mill operation were summarized.According to the above characteristics during the operation of the mill,the grinding process expert control system was designed in detail.Based on the expert knowledge and the experience of the field operator,the corresponding mill expert control rules were summarized and the mill expert control was realized.Expert control system in the PC program to be achieved.At the same time,fuzzy control technology was also introduced into the control system to modify the mill feed control to improve the stability and reliability of the system.In order to improve the mill's output,the self-optimizing control method is added to keep the mill load in the best working interval.The distributed control system is designed for grinding process.The process control is completed by the mill controller.The mill monitoring system is completed in the Visual Studio2010 development environment by C# language.The design of the serial communication between the upper computer and the mill controller makes the mill controller transmit the on-site data to the upper computer through the communication mode,which is convenient for the operator to monitor and control the production status in real time and timely adjust the operating conditions.The experimental platform is set up,and the control system is simulated and debugged.The operation results of automatic control,expert control and optimization control of mill are tested experimentally.The results show that the control system achieves the goal of automatic control,maintains the stable and efficient operation of the mill,and has certain ability of resisting interference.All the performance indexes are superior to the traditional control methods and the expected control effect is achieved.The actual grinding process has some applicability.
