In this paper, coal was used as raw material to prepare coal-based tubular conduction carbon membranes, and the pore structure performance of carbon membrane was adjusted by adding different kinds of pore-forming agents. The effects of the addition and the different shape of pore-forming agents on pore structure, mechanical strength and conductivity of carbon membrane were systematically investigated. At the same time,we used RhB aqueous solution to study the wastewater treatment performance of different pore structure carbon membranes.Electrochemical workstation was used to investigate the effect of different pore-forming agents on oxygen evolution potential, the permeate flow rate and electrochemical surface area of carbon membranes. The experimental results show that:?1?After the pyrolysis of PVB and organic fiber, there are spongy pores and straight pores in carbon membranes, respectively, and the carbon membranes which added the mixed pore-forming agent exhibited the structure of straight pores through a large number of spongy pores,at the same time, the maximum pore size and the average pore diameter of the carbon membrane increased;with the addition increase of pore-forming agent, the porosity, the maximum pore size, the average pore size, the N2 flux and the permeation flux of carbon membranes were increased, while the compressive strength, electrical conductivity, removal rate of RhB and COD were decreased;?2?Compared with the spongy pore structure, the straight pore structure can effectively reduce the permeation pressure and increase the permeation flux of the carbon membranes, but the spongy pore structure has more beneficial to the RhB aqueous solution treatment of carbon membranes; The carbon membranes with different kinds of pore-forming agents addition can remove more than 99.6%of RhB,the COD removal rate can reach as high as 75.50%.It should be noted that the types of main oxidation intermediates of different kinds of pore-forming agents addition carbon membranes are the same, but the content of different intermediates were different, which resulted in the difference of COD removal rate;?3?The type and amount of pore-forming agents do not change the oxygen evolution potential of carbon membranes, but it can effectively change the permeate flow rate of the carbon membranes system and the electrochemical surface area of the carbon membranes. However, when the material flow rate of the carbon membranes system is too fast,it will lead to the COD removal rate reduced, due to the limited water treatment ability of carbon membranes.
