The continuous improvement of expressway network in Guangdong has provided great help and convenience for economic development.However,with the significant increase in the existing vehicle ownership in China,the traffic safety issue has become increasingly severe,and even seriously threatens the lives and property of people.Therefore,ensuring traffic safety has become the most important aspect of China's current road design.By conducting road safety assessment at the design stage,safety hazards can be reduced and vehicle safety can be improved.In order to further improve the Kaiping-Yangchun section of the Zhongshan and Yangchun highway,namely the Kai-Chun expressway design quality and the level of traffic safety,accurately grasp the traffic characteristics of the Kai-Chun expressway.This paper analyzes the unfavorable factors of traffic safety existing in the design of the Kai-Chun expressway,and puts forward some improving measures.This article is based on the data of the preliminary design of the expressway.First,according to the technical standard of the proposed project,the topography and geology,the climate conditions,the traffic volume and traffic composition,and the distribution of the large structure,we will comprehensively evaluate the impact of the highway project characteristics on the traffic safety.Secondly,using the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method,from linear coordination,design elements,roadside hazard,dangerous road,road network layout and other aspects of the recommendation and selection schemes are compared,choose a more reasonable safety design.Thirdly,based on the linear consistency evaluation method and the running speed calculation model,the running speed coordination of the recommended line is evaluated.Finally,the safety of the route is systematically analyzed and evaluated from four aspects: plane,sight distance,longitudinal section and cross section.At the same time,aiming at the shortcomings in the design,we take targeted methods to improve,to further develop the traffic safety of the project.
