As a huge element,mercury is toxicity,its emissions and migration transformation rule has been closely watched in the thermal power industry.With the development of the steel industry and the increase of production capacity,mercury element in metallurgical processes has be taken seriously.The pollution of steel industry has become a very big factor,restrict the sustainable development of China's national economy and society.In the process of metallurgy,except for sulfur dioxide,nitrogen oxides,chloride and carbon dioxide emissions,the emission of some trace elements has become more and more important.The transformation and emission of some trace elements and their compounds have become an emerging topic in environmental protection.First This paper is reviewed the elemental mercury from the sources and harmfulness of elemental mercury,the steel industry emissions,classification,and its reaction behavior and the conversion mechanism and the research status of pollution control.Then the analysis and study of the chemical thermodynamics of mercury elements were discussed.The morphological distribution of mercury elements in the sintering process is predicted by the chemical thermodynamic software Factsage,as well as the morphological changes of temperature.The influence of elements and temperature factors on the distribution of mercury is included in the model.Then,the sintering process and the study on the balance of mercury elements in the blast furnace process are carried out,and the steps of field sampling,laboratory analysis and balancing calculation were carried out.On the sources of mercury in the process of the two elements,and to do the detailed introduction and the emission factor can be calculated,and the steel industry in our country the procedure do roughly estimate of atmospheric mercury emissions.The results show that Elemental is the most stable form of mercury in high temperature,and mercury can be oxidized to two valence mercury by sulfur and chlorine at low temperature.The emission factor of mercury in sintering process is 0.05 g.t-1,and the emission factor of mercury in blast furnace process is 0.03 g.t-1.
