Basalt fiber is a kind of environmentally friendly new inorganic material,which not only has high strength,but also has electrical insulation,corrosion resistance,high temperature resistance and a variety of superior mechanical properties.It has a very good effect of improving the basic mechanical properties such as compressive strength,tensile strength,and bending resistance after incorporating this new type of inorganic material into concrete.This research topic is based on theoretical research and related experimental research.And incorporating different lengths and fibers with different amounts of concrete into the concrete to perform trial tests and calculations and comparisons using the existing fiber concrete mix design scheme and experimental research results through reading a large amount of literature.The design of the basalt fiber reinforced concrete in this paper was studied and the experimental scheme is as follows:(1)The C35 concrete,basalt fibers with diameters of 15 ? m,lengths of 15 mm,20 mm,and 30 mm,with 0.2%,0.3%,and 0.4% addition,were respectively mixed into C35 concrete.Testing and analyzing the results which carbon fiber with the same diameter,length of 20 mm,30mm,0.2% and 0.3% of volume was mixed in the concrete at the same time.(2)In order to realize the advantages of basalt fiber in engineering application,using fiber length and fiber content as variables to compare the basic mechanical property of basalt fiber and carbon fiber.(3)Due to find the optimal fiber length range and the optimal fiber blending range for adding basalt fiber to concrete,the micro-structures of plain concrete,basalt fiber concrete,and carbon fiber concrete were observed and analyzed by optical microscopy.So as to lay a good foundation for future practical engineering applications.The test results show that the compressive strength of basalt fiber concrete and carbon fiber concrete is generally lower than plain concrete ' s,and the maximum reduction rate is 8.4%.The tensile strength and flexural strength of basalt fiberreinforced concrete and carbon fiber concrete are improved in different degrees.But the tensile strength of basalt fiber reinforced concrete is 23,8% higher than plain concrete's.The flexural strength of basalt fiber reinforced concrete is 34.7% higher than that of the largest comparable concrete.The flexural strength of carbon fiber reinforced concrete is 28.7% higher than the largest comparable concrete's.From a microscopic point of view,the dispersibility of basalt fiber is much better than that of carbon fiber,and the spatial distribution of uniformly dispersed basalt fiber is superior to that of carbon fiber.
