Abstract/Summary:
Nowadays, transparent materials such as plastics and glasses were widely used in buildings for the beautiful appearance and indoor lighting. However, the room temperature would inevitably increase due to the increasing sunlight income, resulting in the extra building energy consumption. As a novel transparent material, cesium tungsten bronze nanoparticles(CTBNs)had the advantages of low cost, low toxicity, highly transparent and effective near-infrared light shielding property, currently becoming the main material for the glass energy saving. In this thesis, the CTBNs were synthesized by a hydrothermal method and dispersed in organic medium by surface modification.Furthermore, nanocomposite coatings glass with remarkable thermal insulation properties were fabricated via solution mixing method by blending aqueous or organic dispersions of CTBNs with resins. To optimize the dispersity of CTBNs in organic medium, the modifying process conditions was investigated. In addition, the optical and mechanical properties of the two coatings were also studied. The main conclusions of this thesis are as follows:CTBNs prepared by hydrothermal method were modified, and dispersed in dimethyl sulfoxide(DMSO)to form transparent dispersion. The species of modifiers, modifying medium, temperature, and time were investigated and the optimized modifying conditions were obtained as follows.Mixture of methanol and water was chosen as modifying medium,of which the volume ratio of water ranged from 1%to 6%.The concentration of CTBNs ranged from 3~6 mg/mL.The modifier was silane coupling agent a with amount of 40 wt%to CTBNs.The modifying temperature was 60℃,and the modifying time was 2 h.The real grafting ratio of coupling agent of the modified CTBNs was about 5.5 wt%.The organic dispersion had a good stability for six months without sedimentation. The organic dispersion also had high transparency and significant near-infrared shielding property with the near-infrared shielding ratio of 90%at the wavelength of 1000 nm when visible light transmittance reaching 73%at 520 nm.Nanocomposite coatings on glasses were prepared via solution blending methods by mixing cesium tungsten bronze aqueous(organic)dispersion and waterborne(organic)resin. The species and amounts of resins and dispersants, dosage of cesium tungsten bronze, coating thickness and other processing conditions were detailedly investigated to measure the optical and mechanical properties of the glass coatings. The results indicated that when the type of waterborne resin was waterborne b,the dispersant was d,the quality of dispersant:the quality of cesium tungsten bronze:the quality of waterborne resin was 0.01:0.1:1 and the coating thickness was 30 μm,the prepared water-based nanocomposite coatings had the best optical performance with the near-infrared absorbing rate of 90%at 1000 nm,and the visible light transmittance of 71.5%.When the resin type was a mixture of epoxy resin E44 and E51 and the mass ratio was 1:1,the mass ratio of cesium tungsten bronze to epoxy resin is 15%,and the coating thickness was 20μm,the visible light transmittance of the prepared oil-based nanocomposite coatings glass was 73%with the same near-infrared light shielding. After exposing to the modeling near-infrared light for 60 s,the thermal insulation performance of the two nanocomposite coating glass exhibited significant excellent,of which the heating rate of the air on the other side was significantly lower than that of the contrast one, even lower than that of the commercial heat-insulating glass.
