As the traditional society moves into the 21st century,people's lifestyle has been changed greatly and the market competition is going to be fiercer and fiercer because the science and technology and productivity are rushing forward with some new wonder.Traditional function-oriented products are no longer favored by plenty of buyers who gradually begin to face their real need and follow their inner feelings to choose the most suitable commodities.Under this circumstance,in the days that commercially available products are pushed to diversification,the businesses are increasingly focusing more on the emotional products and the theory and the practice of emotional design become the hot attention in China's academe.Trevor van Gorp is the Canadian user experience strategist as well as the founder and principal UX designer at Affective Design Inc.He and Edie Adams provided an emotional design theory and an emotional design model called A.C.T.model in their book Design for Emotion.The design model is full of higher practice application value because it was a logical deduction deduced from the current theoretical system in the field of design together with substantial correlative psychological theory.This paper took the research,explanation,practice and application of the A.C.T.model as the innovatory point and provided a new way for the lamp design by combining this innovatory point with traditional product design method.Modern lamps come in all shapes and sizes.Most lamps was made for formal beauty and decoration.However,because the lamp is a specific kind of industrial product,lamp design should focus on the users inner need and aim to speak directly to the emotions.In this way,lamps could not only go with the tide of market development and enhance comprehensive competitiveness so as to get higher market benefits but also increase people's happiness.
