With the development and progress of modern science and technology,in order to further improve the production efficiency,it is necessary to carry out certain surface treatment of parts,so as to improve the ability of materials to resist fatigue and failure.Water cavitation peening technology is a new surface strengthening technology, its principle is the rational use of a large number of tiny vacuoles contained in the cavitation jet to strengthen the material by impact on the surface of the material when the surface of the part collapses. In this paper, numerical simulation and experimental verification of water cavitation peening process, and use a variety of measuring instruments on the surface integrity of the specimens before and after water cavitation peening were tested to determine the improvement of water cavitation peening on material properties,Finally, the multi shot peening process is simulated, which provides a theoretical basis for the selection of water cavitation peening sequence in the actual production process.Based on the shot peening technology, this paper introduces the tradition mechanical shot peening and the many new shot peening methods developed from it,and introduces the production conditions, the determination method, material deformation process, residual stress generation mechanism and shot peening strength measurement methods. In order to understand the arc height and residual stress change of test piece under different loading parameters, two loading modes were selected To simulate different loading time and peak load pressure. The arc height and residual stress distribution obtained by the test of N Alman test was compared, and the closest loading conditions were selected to simulate the strengthening process of TC4 test sheet. The arc height and residual stress distribution of TC4 specimens obtained from the comparative tests and simulations indicate that it is feasible to predict the deformation and stress distribution of the material during water cavitation peening by using numerical simulation.Through the measurement of the surface integrity before and after water cavitation peening, water cavitation peening can effectively reduce the machining texture caused by mechanical processing, increase the surface hardness, change the surface microstructure, increase the dislocation and twin density, introduced a certain depth of the residual compressive stress layer so as to reduce the surface stress concentration and increase the ability of materials to resist fatigue crack growth and resist surface damage, thereby enhancing the performance of the material. Finally,by using the optimal simulation parameters for simulation of the multipoint water cavitation peening.Prediction of the deformation and stress distribution of the plate under the condition of simultaneous shot peening with single-nozzle variable-path shot blasting and multiple nozzles in the process of production. It has a certain guiding significance for the reasonable optimization of the parameters.
