Based on the chemical composition,physical characteristics of flue-cured tobacco and components in mainstream cigarette smoke in four tobacco planting areas of Dengfeng in 2015-2016 years,the main physical and chemical properties of tobacco leaves and components in mainstream cigarette smoke of Dengfeng tobacco area were analyzed by comparison with the middle leaves samples from Xiangxian of Xuchang and Yancheng of Luohe.The release amount models of the 7 main harmful components and tar in the mainstream smoke were constructed with the partial least squares regression(PLSR)based on the physical and chemical indexes of tobacco leaves.The correlations between the conventional chemical constituents,organic acid constituents,physical properties of tobacco leaves and the harmful components in main stream smoke were analyzed,and the prediction capability of the models was verified and evaluated.The main conclusions are as follows:1.The analysis of physical and chemical properties of Dengfeng flue-cured tobacco.The content of conventional chemical constituents of tobacco leaves: reducing sugar was between 16.72-24.08%,total sugar was between 18.62-25.97%,nicotine was between 1.62-2.05%,total nitrogen was between 1.73-2.22%,potassium ion was between 0.97-1.27%,chloride ion was between 0.41-0.51%,the ratio of sugar to alkali was between 8.94-13.39,the ratio of nitrogen to alkali was between 0.99-1.19 and the ratio of potassium to chlorine was between 1.02-3.01.The organic acid constituents of tobacco leaves: the total amount of non-volatile organic acids and senior fatty acids was between 61.61-70.84 mg/g,which was made up a large part with non-volatile organic acids.The physical characteristics of tobacco: The thickness of the leaves was between 89-172 ?m.The tensile force was between 1.86-4.82 N.The filling value was between 2.86-5.08 cm3/g.The balance water content was between 11.03-14.49%.The specific weight of leaves was between 51.00-94.40 g/m2.In a word,the physical and chemical properties of flue-cured tobacco leaves in Dengfeng were relatively stable,while the chemical constituents of the middle leaves was the most suitable,and the chemical constituents and physical properties were better,which was basic in line with the standard of high quality tobacco leaves.Compared with the middle leaves of Xuchang and Luohe,the total sugar content of the central leaf of Dengfeng flue-cured tobacco was lower,the content of potassium ion was lower than that of Luohe,the content of chlorine ion was higher,and the ratio of potassium to chloride was lower,the total amount of senior fatty acid and organic acid was higher,and the thickness and leaf specific weight were lower.2.The analysis of the mainstream smoke components of Dengfeng flue-cured tobacco.The chemical constituents of the mainstream smoke(particle phase): the nicotine release amount of smoke was between 0.95-3.25 mg/ branches,and the nicotine release amount of the lower leaf was low.The moisture content of smoke was between 1.48-3.74 mg/ branches.The tar release amount was between 11.42-20.97 mg/ branch and the upper leaf tar release amount was obviously higher than the middle and lower leaves.The content of total particle matters was between 14.62-26.06 mg/ branches and the overall performance was upper leaves > middle leaves > Lower leaves.7 harmful components of mainstream smoke: croton aldehyde release was the highest in the middle leaves,while the release amount of the other 6 harmful components and hazard index of cigarette smoke were the highest in the upper leaves,and the lowest in the lower leaves.As a whole,the release amount of tar,total particle matters,7 main harmful components of the mainstream smoke and H value of Dengfeng flue-cured tobacco were were lower than that of Xiangxian of Xuchang,which similar to that of Yancheng of Luohe with relatively high tobacco safety,3.The PLSR model of harmful components release in smoke and correlation analysis.The physical and chemical indexes of tobacco leaves in Dengfeng flue-cured tobacco were analyzed with 7 kinds of harmful components and tar release in smoke by PLSR,and 22 physical and chemical indexes were selected into the regression equation.The chemical constituents index variables were highly correlative to the harmful components in smoke.Except the leaf thickness,the correlation of physical characteristic variables was weak.After the screening of explanatory variables,PLS regression was fitted again.The optimal number of principal components in the PLS regression was selected for each kind of harmful components in smoke,and the regression models of harmful components release of the mainstream smoke based on the physical and chemical properties of tobacco leaves were established.The correlation between the physical,chemical indexes and the harmful components in smoke was analyzed by PLSR.The results showed that the correlation between the conventional chemical constituents,the organic acid constituents,the leaf thickness and sorts of harmful components was significant.The validation results of the PLS regression model showed that,regression models of the harmful components release except NNK had high stability and prediction ability(R~2>0.7).The prediction ability of the regression models of croton aldehyde and ammonia release quantity was the best(R~2>0.9),while the prediction result of NNK release model was not ideal.
