Thorium is a potential nuclear energy material.The content of thorium in the earth’s crust is much larger than that of uranium.Accelerating the development and utilization of loquat resources is of great strategic importance.Radioactive concentrator is widely used in the field of screening of radioactive minerals.Based on the radioaction of thorium ore,the online radioaction detection system of thorium ore concentrator is designed witch achieved detection and rapid beneficiation.The dissertation designs the hardware circuit and measuring device for the radioactive measurement of the ore processing machine in response to the picking requirements of the thorium ore lump mine.The major achievements of this paper include:(1)A hardware circuit part suitable for the on-line detection system of thorium ore concentrator was developed,including a low-voltage power supply and a main amplifier single-channel pulse amplitude analyzer.An on-line radioactive measurement device was designed.(2)Based on the EP2C8T144I8 N FPGA,developed ten pulse counters and data processing and transmission modules.The user software based on Python language was designed to initially implement online measurement.(3)The physical measurement conducted the thorium ore samples from Baiyun Zibo mining area in Baotou,Inner Mongolia.A more detailed experiment was conducted on the effect of lead shielding,the location of the probe,the distance between adjacent ores,and the environmental background.The results show that the natural background has a great influence on the measurement results.The lead shielding device can effectively reduce the natural background.When the ore spacing is about 15 cm,the effect between the ore can be reduced to a negligible range.(4)The detection limit of this system is 0.87 cps.
