As countries implementing energy-saving emission reduction strategies to speed up the cultivation of strategic new industries,sewage treatment industry will face a vast space for market development.Researching on the selection of technologies and project management models for wastewater treatment and environmental projects will help engineering companies analyze and make decisions on future markets so that more resources can be concentrated in fields that have potential for growth so as to make subsequent growth in the business of engineering companies,which has important theoretical and practical significance.In view of the current status and problems of wastewater treatment technology and management mode,this paper studies the types and characteristics of domestic wastewater,the existing methods of wastewater treatment,as well as the classification,applicable scope,advantages and disadvantages of the project management mode by literature research and empirical research.Through the comparative analysis and the study of the case of N company,this paper puting forward the selection method that the engineering company chooses the sewage treatment technology and the project management mode in the face of the concrete project.The results of technical selection method show that in specific projects,firstly,the technical direction can be determined according to the biodegradability of sewage,which is the ease of biodegradation of organic pollutants in wastewater,for example,when BOD/COD>0.3,it can be selected for biological treatment method,and when BOD/COD<0.3,it requires physical or chemical methods to improve the biodegradability of sewage,simultaneously,taking the quality of sewage water,water,sewage treatment indicators,construction and operation costs,ease of construction,local nature and society conditions and other factors into account to select the appropriate sewage treatment technology.The results of selection of project management mode show that the current mainstream management mode is EPC mode and operating mode.Among them,the projects with large investment scale,mature technology and operational efficiency are suitable for operation modes such as BOT and PPP,while those with small investment and high technical requirements are suitable for adopting EPC mode.The appropriate project management model is determined through a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of sewage water quality and quantity,technology maturity,investment scale and profitability and other factors.The above technical choices and mode selection methods will provide a solid foundation and basis for the development of N Company's wastewater treatment business in the coming years.In the future,on the one hand,N Company should enhance the ability to acquire and grasp technical information through technical cooperation with scientific research institutes and environmental protection companies in colleges and universities;on the other hand,it should improve the operation and management process of the project,train professionals and deepen the understanding of project operation and management through cooperating with companies that have a long history of investment and operation,ultimately N company will turn into a new engineering company with a set of investment,construction and operation eventually.
