Fiber fabric is a polymer composed of cellulose macro-molecules.The linen fabric and cotton fabric studied in this paper are all natural cellulose fibers.The two kinds of fiber fabrics are widely applied in various fields of life,such as home textiles and clothing.The limit oxygen index of flax fiber is 23,the limiting oxygen index of cotton fiber is 18,and the limiting oxygen index of viscose fiber is 17.The limiting oxygen index of these three fibers is all less than 27,which belongs to flammable fiber.The purpose of this paper is to prepare and study flame retardant fabric,and graft acrylic acid onto fiber fabric by chemical grafting method,so that it has flame retardancy.First of all,decontamination and pre oxidation treatment of fabric were carried out.Secondly,alkalization reaction of fabric was carried out.Finally,acrylic fiber flame retardant fabric was obtained through ion exchange reaction of fabric.The weight gain rate,mechanical properties,Furier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and characterization of the reaction products of each stage in the experiment,the limiting oxygen index(LOI),cone calorimetry(CONE)and thermogravimetric analysis(TG)of flame retardant fiber flame retardant fabric for inquiry.The experimental results show that the acrylic acid grafting reaction and salt reaction,fabric is endowed with flame retardant,flame retardant oxygen index of flax fabric reaches as high as 41.5,limit oxygen index of flame retardant cotton fabrics as high as 38.3,the limiting oxygen index of flame retardant viscose fabric as high as 38.2,indicating the grafting reaction and salt reaction success.The flame retardancy of fiber fabrics changed,the surface carbon layer became more dense,the thermal degradation temperature became lower,the carbon residue rate and the limit oxygen index increased significantly,and the flame retardancy of fabrics increased greatly.
