Abstract/Summary:
Since the 40-year reform and opening,our state has promoted economic development at the expanses of resources,labor and market to improve human living standard,leading to great changes in people’s life.China has become the second largest economy in the world.For a long time,China has taken extensive utilization of resources(i.e.,first development and protection later).The over-exploitation and disordered mining of natural mineral resources result in frequent occurrence of geological disasters,such as landslides,ground subsidence,land desertification,soil marshalization,soil salinization,water and soil erosion,and the destruction of the ecological environment.There are also hidden dangers of geological disasters.Although the economy has made great progress,the contradiction between economic development and ecological environment protection is increasingly prominent.For the sustainable development of economy,it is necessary to take a scientific and effective method to achieve the coordinated development of human production activities and ecological environment protection.Our government attaches great importance to the management and protection of mine geological environment,and has issued a series of laws,regulations and related policies to support the local government to control the mine geological environment.It includes the treatment of geological disasters in abandoned mines,the restoration and treatment of landscape geomorphology,the treatment of water pollution and aquifer,the restoration of mine ecology,the restoration and treatment of land reclamation and so on.Liaoning Province,as a large province of resource output,has made great support for the development of our country.However,over-exploitation has caused serious destruction of natural ecology.In order to return green mountains and green water to people,Liaoning province has implemented the"Qingshan project".This paper took the design and construction process of the project of Beitai iron mine in Benxi city as an example.The demonstration project of geological environment control of Beitai Iron Mine in Benxi city includes:slope engineering,civil engineering,platform management,planting and drainage,divided into three sites,the Dongmiao Mountain North Area,Guan Jiaxigou North Area,Dongmiao Mountain and Guan Jiaxigou Vegetation Restoration Area.The following conclusions had been drawn:(1)According to the actual geological environment characteristics of the Beitai Iron Ore Mining Area,it was divided into the Dongmiao Mountain North Area,Guan Jiaxigou North Area,Dongmiao Mountain and Guan Jiaxigou Vegetation Restoration Area.Different environmental governance research had been developed according to different local conditions;(2)In the management of this geological environment,a large number of trees were planted and large area of grass was planted on the surface,which not only could effectively cope with the land desertification,soil erosion and so on,but also increased the utilization rate of the land and greatly improved the environmental capacity.The workload of earthwork works is about 530 thousand m~3.The workload of masonry works is about 4816 m~3 with 100 thousand planting trees;(3)The effective methods for ensuring project duration,project quality,safe production,civilized construction and environmental protection were summarized.Meanwhile,the emergency construction methods under special conditions in winter rainy season were analyzed.It is proved to meet the requirements.The implementation of the project not only eliminates the geological hazards caused by the geological environment problems and ensures the safety and health of the people in Benxi,but also promotes the employment of the local labor force and the local economy development.It plays a very good role in the maintenance of social stability and the construction of a harmonious society.
