With people’s increased awareness of groundwater environmental protection,the promulgation and implementation of technical guidelines for groundwater EIA,groundwater environmental impact assessment and prediction become an important part in environmental impact assessment work of power plant.In recent years,national environment protection policy becomes more complete.It puts high value on impact of waste water produced at operation period on surrounding groundwater environment,especially on domestic drinking water of downstream residents.The environmental impact assessment and prediction of groundwater can provide decision basis for site selection and preventive measures design.This paper detailedly introduces basic situation of Yongfu thermal power plant.Through current situation investigation and monitoring,the current situation of groundwater environment is evaluated.According to the evaluation results,environmental impact of three stage-construction period,operation period,expired service expiration of power plant expansion is predicted,the paper focused on possible effect of operation period on groundwater quality.Based on analytical systematically geology of reservoir area and hydrogeology data,identified occurrence condition,circular characteristic,dynamic characteristic and type of groundwater,generalized conceptual model of hydrogeology for site area,2D mathematical model for groundwater unsteady flow is established,numerical simulation is conducted by Visual Modflow which is a groundwater simulation software.According to the groundwater flow field data,the model was identified and corrected.The migration situation of featured pollutants was predicted under the situation such as diesel oil tank explosion,a leak of liquid ammonia and desulfurated waste water buffer leak.The prediction result shows that the leak of diesel oil,liquid ammonia and desulfurated buffer will have some impact on groundwater environment within the scope of the plant site.To take the corresponding anti-seepage measures,site perfect monitoring and emergency scheme fitting would effectively detect and prevent the effect.The degree of impact could be reduced to an acceptable level.The groundwater solute transport model of Yongfu power plant actually reflects the hydrogeological structure,groundwater seepage and characteristic of contaminant transport for research area in this paper.This paper provides a scientific basis for groundwater EIA of this construction project.
