Advanced composite materials have been widely used on aircraft due to its excellent performance and design ability.Autoclave technology is a major method for molding of large-scale composite components.Properties of the tooling,such as stifiness,thermal inertia and so on,play an important role in the performance of composite components.And the design and manufacture of the tooling occupy a large proportion of the costs.Aiming at the existing problems,such as low efficiency in the design of the tooling and the high cost of the tooling matetial,a parameter optimization design process integrated parametric CAD model,finite element analysis and CFD analysis has been established for the design of the tooling for molding composite constructures,based on mode FRONTIER,a plate form for multi-disciplinary optimization.The main work of this thesis is as follows:1)The design parameters of tooling are determined through the analysis of the structure of the tooling.And then the parametric model of the tooling was built.VB language is used for the secondary development of CATIA.The paramtric modeling of tooling was realized through the program for parametric design of the tooling.2)The stress distribution and deformation distribution are obtained by the analysis of the tooling under different circumstances using ABAQUS.The automation of the finite element analysis and the post processing are realized through the Python script file.3)The simplified geometric model of tooling and autoclave is built.And the model is meshed using HyperMesh,a pre-processing software.And the automation of meshing process is realized using Tcl script file.The flow field in the autoclave,the temperature distribution of the tooling and variation of the maximum temperature difference of the molding surface are obtained through the fluid-thermal coupling analysis of the autoclave process using fluent.And also,the influences of wind speed and heating rate on the maximum temperature difference of the mold surface are explored.The calculating process and-the post process runs automatically using TUI script files.4)A parameter optimization design process for the tooling is established based on mode FRONTIER.The parametric design program for designing tooling,ABAQUS batch script,HyperMesh batch script and fluent batch script are integrated into mode FRONTIER.Parameter optimization design of the tooling is carried out using the genetic with the given design variables and design space,so as to design a tooling that meets all the requirements with the lowest weight.
