Selective laser sintering technology(SLS)is one of the important research directions in the field of additive manufacturing(AM)technology at home and abroad.Compared with other additive manufacturing technologies,SLS technology has more obvious advantages in the processing of complex parts.However,the application of SLS technology is still limited to the industrial sector,and it lacks consumer-grade products for non-industrial applications.In view of the disadvantages of high cost,large volume,and inconvenient operation of existing laser sintering equipment,this paper designs a consumer-grade laser 3D printer with Arduino microcontroller as the control core from the perspective of reducing equipment costs and improving the convenience of operation.Design and hardware design,analysis of preheating devices,research and programming of control system algorithms.This article first summarizes the status quo and development trend of consumer-grade laser 3D printers,analyzes the problems existing in existing consumer-grade laser 3D printers,and determines the purpose and content of this study.The functionality of a consumer-grade laser 3D printer is determined according to the process requirements of SLS and with reference to industrial-grade equipment.Based on low-cost design ideas,the parameters and principles of important components are compared and analyzed.The laser scanning method is selected for the optical path flight.The laser light source is a 40 W power CO2 laser.The effect of powder quality on the sintering precision was studied.The design of the powder box was introduced into the powder box structure design to improve the convenience of operation.Design a preheater for consumer 3D printers.Analyze the effect of preheating on the quality of the molded parts,study the temperature field uniformity of the surface of the powder bed,obtain a reasonable installation layout of the preheating device,and verify the scientificity and effect of the design through experiments.The consumer-grade laser 3D printer designed in this paper uses the Arduino MCU development board as the main control board,and develops the expansion board for the control board to enrich its interface circuit.The expansion board is mainly designed according to the functional requirements of a consumer-grade laser 3D printer.The main contents of the design include a limit switch circuit,a stepper motor drive circuit,and a power supply circuit.Design and research of control programs for consumer-grade laser 3D printers,including:main program flow design,motion control program design,speed control and temperature control program design,and Bresenham algorithm for motion control to optimize scanning points.According to the research,a consumer laser 3D printer prototype was designed and manufactured.In order to obtain better molding accuracy,the orthogonal experiment method was used to carry out experiments on the process parameters of the prototype,and the optimum processing parameters were obtained.
