Hydrogen sulfide is the primary occupational hazard in the petrochemical industry. It has brought great harm to the crude oil storage and transportation, oil refining industry, and natural gas drilling process. Many methods have been developed for the treatment of hydrogen sulfide.Among them, photocatalytic have great potential for development due to their advantages of simple, mild reaction conditions, and low energy consumption.Titanium dioxide,as the most common photocatalyst, has attracted much attention due to its advantages of safety,no pollution, stability, high activity, and low price. However, titanium dioxide still has some problems such as narrow band gap and serious photoelectron-hole recombination. And photocatalytic treatment of pollutants is actually a synergistic process of adsorption and photocatalytic oxidation degradation, how to improve the photocatalyst’s ability to adsorb pollutants also restricts the improvement of photocatalytic efficiency. In this paper,a series of nanocomposites based on titanium dioxide-Metal Organic Frameworks were prepared for the above problems.Enhances the optical performance of titanium dioxide by compounding it with graphene and carbon nanofibers and adding the ability to adsorb hydrogen sulfide.Experimental results show that nanocomposites based on titanium dioxide-Metal Organic Frameworks exhibit excellent photocatalytic ability to treat hydrogen sulfide gas.
