Waste GFRP is a kind of regional industrial waste,which will seriously pollute the environment if not treated properly.Therefore,scientific and reasonable disposal is imperative.Among the various treatment methods,resource utilization is the first choice.In this paper,a kind of high performance polymer modified mortar was prepared with cement being cementing material,waste GFRP fiber being reinforcement material,and waste FRP powder and river sand being the aggregate.Therefore the resourceful utilization of waste GFRP is realized.Firstly,the effects of the content of waste GFRP fiber and powder,the type and content of polymer,and the cement-sand ratio on the adhesive strength of mortar were investigated to obtain the rough range of each factor.On this basis,response surface method was used to optimize the mortar formulation.The optimized material ratio was obtained: cement sand ratio 1:2,polymer 8%(cement based),waste GFRP fibre 6 %(based on the total solid),and waste GFRP powder 9%.The performance of bonding mortar is predicted by the mathematical model fitted by Design-expert 8,which is in agreement with the experimental value.The bonding strength of the product meets the requirements of JCT 547-2005(Adhesives for ceramic wall and floor tiles).Secondly,the proportioning and process of the above bonded mortar were further optimized to improve the performance and expand the application.Silica powder was used to improve the fiber dispersion and improve the bonding strength.Waste GFRP fiber was surface-modified to improve the interfacial bonding property between the fiber and the mortar matrix.The performance of the mortar with surface-modified waste GFRP fiber and coordinated with silica fume is better than that of untreated mortar.The bonding strength and the impermeability pressure increase by 6.2% and 43.75%,the cracking index and thermal conductivity are decreased by 74.12% and 56.86%,respectively.Thirdly,the micro-structure of waste GFRP fiber reinforced adhesive mortar was observed by using SEM,and the reinforcing mechanism was discussed.The results show that the use of polymer emulsion formed thin polymer film within cement hydrates,waste GFRP fiber and aggregate,reducing micro cracks.Together with the synergistic effect of various materials,he shrinkage cracks are reduced,and the bonding and waterproof properties of the mortar improved.In general,based on the synergistic effect of different materials,a low-cost,highperformance and multi-functional adhesive mortar was developed in this study,realizing scientific and reasonable disposal and full use of GFRP.
