With the increasing application of oil in industry, the environmental problems caused by oil spilling and industry waste oil become more and more serious.Nowadays, the treatments of the spilled oil and waste oil are important aspects in environmental governance. It is urgent to explore new strategies for design and fabrication of promising oil sorbent candidates. In this paper, polystyrene(PS)and polylactic acid(PLA)used as the matrix materials, polycaprolactone(PCL)as the toughening agent, superhydrophobic composite nanofibrous membranes were prepared through solution blow spinning with an airbrush for oil absorption.Nanofiber composite membranes were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, water contact angle,X-rayPhotoelectron Spectroscopy,X-ray diffractometer, and thermogravimetric analysis instrument.Based on this research, disused plastic was used as raw materials and prepared by solution blow spinning with an airbrush for oil absorption. Then the oil/water selectivity, the oil absorption capacity and reusability were investigated. The results and conclusions are as followed:1.Polystyrene(PS)and polycaprolactone(PCL)dissolved in dichloromethane were spun to prepare the PCL/PS composite nanofibrous membranes through solution blow spinning with an airbrush. The effects of mass ratio of PCL and PS on the morphology, porosity, density, cyrstallinity, thermal stability and oil absor:ption ability were investigated. It was found that the chemical structure did not change before and after spinning, the WCA of raw material was 810,while the PCL/PS composite nanofibrous 1embranes even had a WCA more than 1500,expressed super-hydrophobic.The prepared oil sorbents have not only high sorption capacity but also excellent oil/water selectivity. The oil sorption capacities of crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil of the sorbents remained 6.16,7.46 and 5.33g/g after 6 cycles of absorption-desorption process.PCL/PS composite nanofibrous membranes had higher oil adsorption capacities and better water/oil adsorption selectivity than the commercial oil absorbent polypropylene.2.The biodegradable Poly-L-lactic acid(PLLA)and polycaprolactone(PCL)dissolved in dichloromethane were spun to prepare the PCL/PLLA composite nanofibrous membranes for oil spill cleanup through solution blow spinning with an airbrush. The effects of mass ratio of PCL and PLLA,receiving distance and pressure on the morphology, porosity, density and oil absorption ability were investigated. The cyrstallinity and thermal stability also were investigated after polycaprolactone was added. The adsorption capacities of prepared sorbent for crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil were 24.56g/g,14.54g/g and 13.28g/g.The sorbents can remain high sorption capacity after 10 successive sorption-desorption cycles, expressing anextraordinary high reusability.3.The waste plastic(including waste PS and waste PLA)dissolved in dichloromethane was spun to prepare the nanofibrous membranes through solution blow spinning with an airbrush. The properties(eg.morphology, thermal stability and oil absorption capacity)of nanofibrous membranesfrom waste plastics were compared with those from the pure materials. It was found that the morphology of nanofibrous membranes fromwaste plastic is similar with that from the pure materials;the WCA of wast plastic was 1460,while the nanofibrous membranes frompure material had a WCA more than 1500,expressed super-hydrophobic.The purePS material adsorption capacities of prepared sorbent for crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil were 25.00g/g,19.00g/g and 13.00g/g,respectively,while the wastePS oil adsorption capacities of crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil was 20.00,18.00 and 8.00g/g.The pure PLAmaterial adsorption capacities of prepared sorbent for crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil were 25.84g/g,21.97g/g and 15.97g/g,respectively,while the waste PLA oil adsorption capacities of crude oil, peanut oil and diesel oil was 22.02,15.84 and 12.1 1g/g.The results indicated thatmembranes from waste plastics had good adsorption properties.
