Magnetic Abrasive Finishing technology is different from traditional manual polishing and mechanical finishing, magnetic field composite and free abrasive's intervention, make that finishing technology can maintain the shape accuracy of the parts unchanged, and greatly improve the surface quality. However,in practical applications, due to the fact that the development of automation equipment is relatively less, the processing mechanism of various materials is not clear, and abrasive preparation is facing bottlenecks, which leads to too few technical references and is difficult to promote. This article in view of the above problems,we develop Magnetic Abrasive Finishing system and select two lightweight structural materials AZ31 magnesium alloy and 7075-T651 aluminum alloy as experimental objects.Experiments of different types of atomizing quick setting magnetic abrasive were carried out to explore the mechanism of material removal and seek for a way to improve the finishing efficiency, which lay the foundation for practical application and subsequent research. The main research content:1.Mechanism analysis of aluminium-magnesium alloy's finishing cut atomization fast condensate magnetic abrasive.Mechanical analysis of magnetic abrasive particles and machining contact points in the processing area,Through the formula,we deduce the way to improve the efficiency of the finishing cut,and analyze the relative motion modes of the abrasive and the processed materials.Scanning electron microscope and white light interferometer are used to observe the surface morphology, the depth of the cut and so on.Summarize the surface creation process.Selected two kinds of abrasive grains were finishing of AZ31 magnesium alloy and 7075-T651 Aluminum Alloy, each suitable inquiry abrasive and machined material, and to analyze its causes. The poor corrosion resistance of magnetic finishing and the problem of abrasive media and abrasive fluidity of strong plastic materials are discussed and summarized.2.Construction and magnetic pole design of aluminum-magnesium alloy magnetic finishing System.By modifying the spindle of the machine tool and adding the fixture, the theoretical calculation and magnetic field simulation are used to design the two different magnetic poles of "field word slot" and "rice word slot".The magnetic poles are made by wire cutting and two kinds of magnetic poles are used to process AZ31 magnesium alloy and 7075-T651 aluminum alloy respectively. The advantages and disadvantages of the two kinds of magnetic poles are compared through the change of the material removal rate and the roughness value.3.Research on the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing cut of AZ31 magnesium alloy and 7075-T651 aluminum alloy. The influence of the change of single process parameters on the surface roughness of AZ31 magnesium alloy was investigated by selecting the main technological parameters. Two orthogonal experiments were designed to analyze the orthogonal test of AZ31 magnesium alloy and 7075-T651 aluminum alloy respectively. The optimal combination of process parameters is found by calculation.Through the comparison of surface morphology and waviness before and after finishing cut,the test results are verified and summarized. And the further research and application of the aluminum magnesium alloy in the Magnetic Abrasive Finishing process will be further promoted.Through the above research, the finishing of two kinds of materials is finally realized, and the expected effect is achieved, which lays a good foundation for further research and promotion.
