Eggs are one of the common foods in the daily lives of people and are deeply loved by everyone.Eggs are prone to being cracked during transportation, storage, and initial processing.Microbes can invade the eggs through cracks on the surface of the eggs, causing the egg to deteriorate, seriously endangering the consumer's health and the company's reputation. Therefore, crack detection is an important part of the initial processing of egg.China's small and medium-sized egg products companies still use traditional manual detection methods. The detection methods are inefficient and vulnerable to the subjective influence of staff.Large-scale enterprise crack detection technologies are all imported from abroad, and the techonology cost is very high, which severely restricts the competitiveness of enterprises. Therefore,it is of great economic and social significance to study the on-line detection system for cracked eggs. This artcicle is based on an in-depth understanding of the domestic and foreign research status of egg crack detection technology. In this paper, using acoustic feature as a detection method, and using digital signal processing technology and computer control technology to do some research and experiment on the online detection of cracked eggs. The content and results are as follows:1.Analyzing the features of sound signals generated by tapping eggs and establishing a discriminant model.Gathering the sound produced by tapping an egg,the sound is analyzed in the time domain and the frequency spectrum. Finally, the Bayesian discriminant model was established using the total energy(E)of the sound signal, the maximum frequency component(A),the frequency of the maximum frequency component(f),and the centroid of the signal spectrum graph of the frequency axis(Cx),and The discriminant model was verified.2.I studied the mechanical structure of the on-line detection device for cracked eggs, focusing on the automatic tapping part of the detection device. Finally,it was concluded that the detection device can perform multi-point tapping on eggs at different operating speeds, and the percussion force does not cause damage to normal eggs, can complete the goal of comprehensive testing of eggs.3.The hardware and software parts of the egg crack detection system were designed. An on-line crack detection system based on FPGA as the slave processor and DSP as the main processor is designed. The sound signal generated by the knocked egg surface is collected by the sound sensor. After the signal is amplified, filtered, and converted to analog-to-digital,the digital signal is realized by the FPGA.Acquisition,DSP reads the collected data and processes the analysis, and finally displays the result on a PC.The result shows that the FPGA module of the detection system can collect sound signals. The DSP can successfully communicate with the FPGA and read the digital signals buffered in the FPGA.The upper computer can also determine the result.4.The on-line testing of egg cracks was performed on the machine. The test results showed that it spends 1.48 s to detect an egg.The accuracy of normal eggs was 92.50%,the detection accuracy of small cracked eggs was 72.46%,the detection accuracy of large cracked eggs was 92.79%,and the accuracy of cracked eggs was 85.00%.
