Unsaturated polyester resin?UP?as a kind of composite material resin matrix,has high specific strength and specific stiffness,high mechanical properties,simple molding process,light quality,therefore has wide application prospect in the field of composites floor.But the curing of unsaturated polyester resins has some shortcomings,poor toughness,strength is not high,easy to crack,shrinkage is larger,So the enhanced and toughened of unsaturated polyester resin is still attracts the attention of many researchers.The unsaturated polyester resin was selected as matrix of this experiment.Study on enhanced and toughened of unsaturated polyester resin with silica,calcium carbonate,polyethylene glycol,chopped glass fiber.And then with glass fiber cloth as the surface layer,modified unsaturated polyester resin as the core board,to preparated the sandwich board composite materials by Hand lay-up molding.On the basis,the preparation of the hybrid short fiber reinforced UP laminated plate composites was prepared.After preparation of composite material,we made composite mechanical tests,dynamic thermal mechanical performance tests,thermal performance tests,and analysed the microstructure of the composite by SEM.Preliminary studied the content of filler on the impact strength influence of composites.1.Study on enhanced and toughened of unsaturated polyester resin matrixThe properties of Fillers/UP composites research shows that:?1?The properties of composite with CaCO3 is better than SiO2.When the content of the calcium carbonate was10%,the tensile strength and impact strength reached 34.71 MPa and 8.2 kJ/m2,increased by 21.3%and 46.4%than pure UP.?2?The volume shrinkage rate was all reduced with the increase of fillers content.The properties of PEG/CaCO3/UP composites research shows that:?1?The addition of PEG can significantly improve the impact resistance performance of composites,adding30%PEG can make the impact strength of the composite increased from 7.9kJ/m2 to11.2kJ/m2,the impact strength increased by 42.7%;?2?The addition of PEG reduces the dynamic storage modulus of composites and glass transition temperature,but it can improve the toughness of the composite material.The properties of SGF reinforced PEG/CaCO3/UP?MUP?composites research shows that:?1?The impact strength of composite was increased with the increased of SGF,the amount of 0%PEG is 11.2kJ/m2 and the amount of 50%PEG is 17.3kJ/m2,increased by54.4%.?2?TGA results showed that PEG can increase the heat resistant performance and thermal stability of composites.?3?the addition of PEG can reduce the dynamic storage modulus of the composites,when it was 50%,the rigidity of the composite material reached maximum.2.Study on FRUP/MUP/FRUP sandwich board compositesThe properties of FRUP/MUP/FRUP sandwich board composites research shows that:?1?When the content of the SGF was 50%,the tensile strength for 147 MPa,the impact strength for 104.6kJ/m2,increased by 32.8%and 83.7%.?2?The addition of SGF can improve the heat resistance performance and thermal stability performance of sandwich board composites reinforced.?3?When the content of the SGF was 50%,fiber arrangement more closely in the resin matrix and the cross section is neatly,was tightly coated with resin matrix,can improved mechanical properties of the composite material.3.Study on FRUP/SCF-MUP/FRUP sandwich board compositesThe properties of FRUP/SCF-MUP/FRUP sandwich board composites research shows that:?1?The mechanical properties of composites was different with different proportion of short fibres.When the proportion of SGF and SCF is 20:30,the tensile strength reached for179 MPa.When the proportion of SGF and SCF is 10:40,the impact strength reached for131.2KJ/m2.?2?The proportion of the short fibers had a great influence on storage modulus of composites.When the proportion of SGF and SCF is 30:20,the rigidity of material become more stronger,and the composites can stay better mechanical performance under high temperature and long time.
