With the increasingly fierce market competition,the mode of production has changed from small varieties of large batches to large varieties of small batches.Mixed Model Assembly Lines,which are designed to reduce costs and improve efficiency,is an effective way to achieve this transition.The planning of Mixed Model Assembly Line mainly includes two aspects:the first one is studying the balance of Mixed Model Assembly Line and the design of the assembly line;the other one is studying the operation method of the Mixed Model Assembly Line.The assembly line design mainly includes the overall design of the assembly line and the detailed design of the workbench;the study of operation method of the Mixed Model Assembly Line mainly includes the sequencing of the production of products and material distribution.This thesis will design the corresponding Mixed Model Assembly Line for multiple products of a company.The main research contents are as follows:Based on the analysis of the characteristics of a company’s products,this thesis provides the idea of solving the Mixed Model Assembly Lines with many product varieties and large product differences.It mainly select the appropriate products and build related classifications according to the similarity among operating elements.Then similar operating elements are allocated to the same workstation.After that,the study of assembly line balance was conducted for the selected mixed model product,and the mixed integer linear programming model of the assembly line was established and solved.Then,the general design of the production line and the detailed design of workbench were provided.After the study of the Mixed Model Assembly Line balance,the operation method of the Mixed Model Assembly line was studied.Firstly,the production scheduling was studied with the aim of shortest completion period and production leveling.The corresponding mathematical model was established.The multi-objective particle swarm algorithm was used to solve the problem.Several feasible solutions were obtained for selection and adjustment during production.In the study of material distribution,the materials were classified according to the specific conditions of the company,and a reasonable distribution strategy was designed.The distribution vehicles for each station are reasonably arranged in order to achieve the goal of the maximum number of shipments per time and meet the constraint of time limit and vehicle capacity.Finally,the corresponding mathematical model was established and a set of examples was generated based on the design of a company’s Mixed Model Assembly Lines.A single-objective particle swarm algorithm was used to solve the problem,which illustrates the model and proves the effectiveness of the algorithm.
