Research And Application Of A Type Of Mist Eliminator In Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization System

"Upgrade and improvement action plan for energy-saving and emission-reduction of coal-fired power plant(2014-2020)" was published by the National Development and Reform Commission,the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the National Energy Administration on September 12,2014,and the goal of pollutants emission concentration of coal-fired power unit meeting the emission limits of gas turbine unit was put forward.Based on the "Action Plan",the "ultra-low emission" of coal-fired pollutants was put forward further by the domestic electric power groups.In order to achieve the above objectives,the wet ESP has been widely used for high efficiency removal of dust and fog.The wetESP technology can effectively remove particles in flue gas,achieve the requirements of flue gas particulate ultra-low emissions,but the investment ofwet ESP is large,and the operating cost is high.The high energy consumption of wet ESP also increased the emission of pollutants at a certain extent.In order to solve the above problems,a high efficiency mist removal technology with swirl tube type was proposed in this study.The operating principle and characteristics of tube mist eliminator was introduced.The process design,equipments selection,performance test and comparative analysis were done based on a 300MW unit.The results show that the tube mist eliminator technology can realize the particulate emissions of less than 5mg/m3,which can meet"ultra-low emissions" requirement of coal-fired pollutants.Compared with the wet ESP technology,the unit investment of tube mist eliminator can be reduce by 30%-50%,the operation cost can be reduced by 70%-80%,so a more economical way to achieve clean-low emissions of particles in the flue gas was provided.At present,the tube mist eliminator technology has become one of the mainstream high-efficiency demisting technology,and has been widely used in China.The tube mist eliminator technology has played an important role in achieving ultra-low emission of coal-fired flue gas particulate with the low cost and high efficiency.
