| Every engineering project is accompanied by a set of influential theories and models that justify structure and design.The importance of these models is to offer precedence in new projects as well as to take into consideration all the risk factors before construction can commence.Indeed,there is a need for Engineers to be aware of these models as they apply to different projects.In highway construction,the development of roads is very risky.Turnpikes,for instance,oversee millions of cars pass along them each day.Errors in construction can lead to devastating calamities.This study focuses on the use of mathematical models in the construction of highways in China.The study seeks to survey the models applied to various roads using historical data and real-time statistics from the Chinese Road and Construction Department.It is also vital for the research to incorporate views from Engineering consultants from different road construction companies for the understanding of geographical factors in road construction.Commonly applied models in the Chinese highway construction sector will be assessed using literature material from past road projects.Historical information will offer data about preparation safety measures,safety measures taken during construction and those taken after the construction of the road.There will also be a survey of common theories in road construction,using mathematical models,and how these apply to specific roads in the country.Models of highway designs will also be developed and explicated in the research.Most of the data will thus constitute measurements and calibrations about Chinese highways and how these measures guarantee safety and durability of the highways.These measures will be evaluated against existing mathematical models to see the extent to which Chinese Construction adheres to existing mathematical models on road construction. |
