Plastic tees are widely used in water and gas pipeline network in order to change the direction of fluid.The structure of the traditional plastic tees is simple and the phenomenon of loosening and falling off will occur after long-term service.In this paper,the developed plastic tee with buckle structure dismounts conveniently and it can also prevent the tee from loosening and falling off.According to the traditional experience method to make quality plastic tee Mould,it will normally makes the cost increase and the production cycle longer.This paper uses CAD/CAE technology and the orthogonal test method to study the injection molding process and the mould structure in order to make satisfied quality of plastic tee with small warpage.Based on the product drawings,the 3D model of the plastic tee is established and simplified by using SolidWorks software.Its simulation model is constructed by using Moldflow software.PP(K8303)material is selected in simulation.The structure of the gating system and the cooling system is preliminarily established.Then the initial simulation analysis are carried out through Moldflow software and the gating system and cooling system have been verified reasonably.Hence the initial simulation process parameters have been determined.With the design of orthogonal test and the injection molding simulation technology,the initial injection process parameters are further optimized.The linear attenuation pressure curve was used to optimize the holding time that significantly affect product quality and follow recommend parameters are determined:the melt temperature is 210 ?,the mold temperature is 55 ?,the injection time is 1.0 s.the holding time is 25 s.the holding pressure is equal to 100%filling pressure and the cooling time is 90 s.Based on above simulation results and analysis of the buckle structure of the product,two side core-pulling designs are proposed and the core-pulling mechanism by spring resetting is determined by comparison and analysis.Finally the structure design of plastic tee Mould is completed.The corresponding processing technic of mold components is formulated to realize mould processing.With recommend parameters obtained,the trial sample is made and it is found the flash exists in the sample.The reasons for the flash are investigated and the holding pressure is adjusted to 95%filling pressure according to the investigation.which makes the quality meet the requirements.The core-pulling mechanism by spring resetting solves the difficulty of core pulling.it can provide reference to other plastic products that exist buckles in the interior of the product.
