The Cu-Mo alloy weld materials have excellent thermal,electrical conductivivity of copper,high melting point high strength,low thermal expansion coefficient and high elastic modulus of molybdenum.Therefore,the Cu-Mo alloy weld materiasl are widely applied to electric conact materials,the heat sink materials,electrical packaging,the high temperature materials and electrode materials fields,etc.In this paper,the Cu-Mo alloy weld materias are mainly made by the heat mechanical alloying.The heat methanical alloying of this experiment is different from the traditional mechanical alloying,in this process,the raw powder is heated,burned and restored during milling.The steps of the experiments are as follows:(1)The process of the heat mechanical alloying by copper oxide,molybdeun trioxide and graphite as the the raw powder;(2)The process of the heat mechanical alloying by copper oxide,molybdeun trioxide and glucose as the the raw powder;(3)The process of the heat methanical alloying by the precursor prepared by chemical precipition method;(4)The process of the heat mechanical alloying by pure metal Cu powder and Mo powder as the the raw powder.In the above four steps,the effects of the raw powder ratio,milling temperature and milling time on the product are discussed.The opitimal milling conditions were obtained by the analysis and test of products using XRD,SEM and EDS tests.The results indicate that:there are still a large amount of MoO3,CuO,Cu2O in the products of the first step,it shows that MoO3 and CuO are hardly reduced by graphite in the raw powder;MoO3,Cu,Cu2O are the main products of the second step,it shows that most of CuO are reduced to copper by glucose in the raw powder,but MoO3 are hardly reduced;the third step is the process of the heat mechanical alloying by the precursor prepared by chemical precipition method,MoO3,Cu,CuO,Cu2O,MoO2 are the main products,it shows that some of the copper compunds are reduced to Cu,but MoO2 are not reduced to Mo;the forth step is the process of the heat methanical alloying by pure metal Cu powder and Mo powder as the the raw powder,after the Mo-3%raw powder is milled at 350℃ for 8 h,it shows that Mo has certain solid solubility in the Cu phase.Compared with the traditional alloy preparation methods,the Cu-Mo alloy can make Mo have certain solid solubility in the Cu phase by the heat mechanical alloying.
