Coordination polymers also called Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are an unique class of crystalline materials constructed via self-assembly of organic ligands and metal cations(or metal clusters).Because of their high surface areas,as well as structural and chemical tunability, they have been widely used in manifold fields include gas storage and separation, catalysis, chemical sensing, optoelectronics, energy storage and conversion, and drug delivery and bio-imaging.Recently,research and development of these materials have become one of the most intensely and extensively pursued areas.A very interesting and well-investigated topic is their optical emission properties and related applications.1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl ligand contains conjugated π moieties that are subject to excitation, giving rise to optical emission or photoluminescence(PL)upon irradiation. In this thesis,1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl was used as the main ligand and different carboxylic ligands as co-ligands to construct new metal-organic frameworks, and we successfully synthesized 4 kinds of MOFs focusing on the research of the construction factors and luminescent sensor property and energy storage and transfer property. The main contents are summarized as below:1.A new Metal-organic frameworks has been synthesized on the reaction of1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)ethene ligand and 4,4?-biphenyldicarboxylate ligand with Cd(II)ion. This complex possesses a four-fold interpenetrated three dimensional(3D)framework.The structure and the luminescent sensor property of complex 1 were studied in detail.2.Three complexes have been synsthesized based on the reaction of1,1,2,2-tetrakis(4-(pyridin-4-yl)phenyl)ethene ligand and three flexible carboxylic ligands 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid,naphthalene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid and naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid with Zn(II)ion or Cd(II)ion. The effects of different length of dicarboxylic acid ligands on the structures have been explored.Furthermore, the energy storage and transfer property of complex 4 has also been investigated.
