The thesis is selected from the technology research project of SINOTRUCK Jinan Foundry Center.Nodular cast iron has become to the priority used material in industrial produce because it has good mechanical properties and casting properties.But the unique shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage of nodular cast iron have bothered foundry men for a long time.Larger number of scholars do a lot of research on the formation process of shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage,acquire significant progress in this field over the years.By reviewing the research work of nodular cast iron shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage,systematically explore nodular cast iron solidification characteristics,solidification process and production process affecting porosity shrinkage in this paper.Analyze the shrinkage formation mechanism by referring to a lot of literature and discuss the influences of nodular cast iron production technology factors on the shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage’s formation.This paper is based on the fact production,the test sample come from the foundry shop product line.After studying the technology factors of nodular iron solidification process by using different moulding style,gain some regular conclusions.At the same time,combining with the research result of the literature,I analyze the shrinkage and dispersed shrinkage formation cause of Wheel reducer shell casting(nodular cast iron),propose technology improvement measures to prevent them from appearing,achieve a good result.
