Reparetion And Charaterization Of Alkylated Macromolecule/Surfactant Mixture Fluid In Response To PH Or Temperature | | Posted on:2017-06-16 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:M Chen | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2371330542489992 | Subject:Applied Chemistry | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | PH-responsive fluids and temperature-responsive fluids are two types of intelligent fluids that have important applications.However,effective preparation methods of these fluids limited in-depth study and extensive application of the two fluids.At present,the most commonly used surfactant or macromolecular system for the preparation of such fluids has its advantages and some disadvantages.In this paper,a new preparation method is proposed,combining the advantages of the two to avoid its shortcomings.The macromolecule is a network skeleton,and the superficial polymeric aggregate is a network node,and the surface of the macromolecule is a network node,and the surface of the macromolecule is regulated by temperature or pH which can change the existence and disappearance of network nodes or the number of nodes in the system,so as to achieve the goal of regulating the rheological properties of the system.HMHEC/CTAB/HBA and HMHEC/CTAB/PPA fluids in response to pH and HMHEC/CTAB/5mS fluids with response temperature were prepared.The main work and results are as follows:1.HMHEC/CTAB/HBA and HMHEC/CTAB/PPA fluids with pH response are synthesized.The pH response range for HMHEC(3 mg mL-1)/CTAB(80 mmol L-1)/HBA(45 mmol·L-1)fluid is 8.34 to 11.05,and for HMHEC(3 mg mL-1)/CTAB(60 mnol·L-1)/PPA(40 mmol L-1)fluid is 5.3 to 6.8.The zero shear viscosity of the two fluids are four orders of magnitude.2.The effects of organic salt concentration and other factors on the properties of pH-responsive fluids are investigated.The rheological properties of alkylated macromolecules/surfactants/organic salts in aqueous solutions are investigated.The results show that the organic salt concentration have obvious effect on the viscosity and have little effect on the pH response range.3.The effect of alkylated macromolecules in these fluids is summarized by comparing the properties of these two pH response fluids.The results show that the main reason for the increase of the viscosity of HMHEC/CTAB/HBA mixed aqueous solution is that the alkane side chains between different HMHEC macromolecules are connected with surfactant aggregates as the intersection point,that is,the formation of network structure.The main reason for the increase of the viscosity of HMHEC/CTAB/PPA mixed aqueous solution is that the entanglement between the HMHEC macromolecule and wormlike micelles makes the network structure more compact.4.HMHEC/CTAB/5mS fluid with temperature response is synthesized.When the temperature of HMHEC(3 mg mL-1)/CTAB(40 mmol·L-1)/5mS(38 mmol L-1)fluid rises from 25 ℃ to 40 ℃,the zero-shear viscosity of the fluid varies by two orders of magnitude.5.The mechanism of the rheological properties of alkylated macromolecules/urfactants/organic salts in aqueous solution is investigated.The results show that the temperature influences the morphology of the surfactant aggregates,and then influences the interaction between the alkylated macromolecules and the surfactant aggregates. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | alkylated hydroxyethyl cellulose, surfactant, pH, temperature, rheology | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
