As the energy crisis becomes more and more serious,new energy sources attract our attention.Recently,direct methanol/ethanol fuel cells(DMFCs/DEFCs)have been considered as promising power sources owing to their low operating temperature,high electromotive force,high practical power densities,and environment friendly aspects.If Pd can replace the Pt as an important catalytic component of fuel cells,it well greatly reduce the cost of fuel cells,and promote the development of fuel cells,and powerful to improve the current situation of energy crisis in the world.Therefore,in the paper,method of thermal decomposition me and metal-oleate was adopted to prepare a variety of Pd catalysts,the Pd catalysts was studied on ethanol catalytic performance;The thermal decomposition temperatures and the carrier was studied to the dispersion and structure of Pd particles;the thermal decomposition process of metal-oleate was explored to prepare metal particles,and The different thermal decomposition temperatures was studied to performance of the Pd/CNTs by metal-oleate method;the different chemical element was studied for the performance of Pd catalysts.(1)The different thermal decomposition temperatures was studied to the performance influence of Pd/CNTs;Results show the problems of carbon nanotubes,the catalyst metal fall off or aggregate in the traditional preparation methods,can be can be solved by using the handy strategy,and also improve the dispersion of Pd catalyst particles on the CNTs and reduce the size of the particles.The different components(Ru,Ir,Ta)Pd catalysts was prepared by thermal decomposition of metal-oleate method,The different thermal decomposition temperatures and the different chemical element were studied for the performance influence of Pd catalysts.Results show that the thermal decomposition temperature is 400?,the Pd0.5-Ru0.5/Ti catalysts for ethanol has high catalytic catalytic,and the decay mechanism of Pd0.5-Ru0.5/Ti catalysts in the catalytic process was verified by SEM.(3)The metal-oleate method was adopted for the preparation of Pd/Ti catalysts,the performance influence of Pd/Ti catalysts was prepared by different precursor(metal-oleate and PdCl2).Experiment showed that the preparation of catalysts in air atmosphere were as twice as the performance in the argon atmosphere;The Pd/Ti catalysts has high catalytic activity by metal-oleate method,and the decay mechanism of Pd/Ti catalysts during the process of catalytic was also studied.(4)The Pd catalysts was prepared through a different carrier,C-CuO,SiO2 and CuO-SiO2 was studied for the performance influence of Pd catalysts;The different performance of catalysts was studied by the preparation of metal-oleate method and NaBH4 reduction method,respectively.The results show the preparation of Pd/CuO-SiO2 successfully improved the catalytic activity of Pd/SiO2,and the tiny Cu nanoparticles grew on the surface of SiO2.
