Composite material is a solid material with new properties compound by two or more different materials through physical or chemical methods.Application of glass fiber reinforced composites opened composites market,carbon fiber,aramid fiber,UHMWPE fiber and other high-performance fiber reinforced composites come out one after another.Aramid fibers have high specific strength and modulus characteristics,which combined with the epoxy resin can develop excellent composite material.This paper introduced the research and development of aramid fiber knitted fabric composites,including: surface modification research of aramid fiber,preparation of aramid fiber knitted composites and the test of stretching,bending,compression performance,preparation of aramid fiber knitted fabrics three-dimensional composites etc.First,used low-temperature plasma for aramid fiber surface treatment,tested single fiber breaking strength,static friction coefficient and the capillary effect,combined single factor and orthogonal experiment,analysis and obtained optimum treatment temperature plasma is: processing pressure 60 Pa,processing power 150 W,processing time 120 S.And analyzed surface structure and molecular changes before and after treatment through scanning electron microscope and infrared spectrometer.Second,selected aramid fiber knitted fabric for reinforcement,E44 epoxy resin as matrix,prepared aramid fiber knitted fabric composites.Determined the optimum composite molding is: resin and hardener ratio 150ml: 60 ml,heating time 1h,holding time4 h,temperature 45 ?,pressure 1.5MPa.Finally,the thickness of the aramid fiber knitted fabric composites sample is 3-4mm.Again,used the best plasma treatment process for aramid fiber knitted fabric surface treatment and used the best molding process for preparing aramid fiber knitted fabric composites.Took composite materials for tension,compression and bending test,through the analysis of experimental data obtained: after plasma treatment,the warp and zonal tension of aramid fabric composites separately increased 49% and 33%,compression increased 41% and 49%,bending increased 40% and 39%.And the tensile and compressive properties are warp better than zonal,while the bending properties are opposite.Finally,designed rockets,submarines,aircraft engines and other shape model on a certain proportion,weaved on knitting machine.Prepared dimensional model of aramid fabric reinforced composites,and showed products.
