Akund fiber is a new kind of natural cellulose fiber which has many advantages such as good gloss,unique moisture,comfort,green environmental protection and other features,but its fiber density is small,it is easy to float and break,maximum static friction coefficient of fiber is small,cohesion among fibers is also small,all of these made akund fibers without pretreatment difficult to form a continuous sliver,therefore,akund fibers have not been widely used at home and abroad,currently,the study of akund mainly focus on plants and dyeing properties.Main test methods of this subject is to study crystalline and orientation degree by testing X-ray diffraction and infrared diffraction of akund fibers,fiber thermal performance has also been studied through TG curve of akund fibers,fiber breakage strength and elongation and fiber friction coefficient has been tested,in accordance with the people's Republic textile industry standards<<ramie main chemical components systematic quantitative analysis method and>>akund fiber main chemical component in cellulose,hemicelluloses,pectin,wax,lignin,and ash were tested,based on the fiber structure and properties of akund fibers,akund fiber has been dealer with chemical agents as well as tested through orthogonal experiment method.Akund fiber spinning process is realized after the pretreatment of fibers,this subject is of great significance for the development of akund fibers,main content and conclusions of this subject are as follows:(1)Crystalline of akund fiber is 42.5%,higher than cotton,lower than kapok;orientation degree is 85.4%which is much larger than the cotton and kapok fiber;thennal stability of akund fiber is worse than cotton fiber,the fineness is 0.93?0.97dtexmedium,fiber strength range from 3.03 to 3.53 cN·dtex-1,break elongation is from2.67%to 3.4%,collusion strength of akund fiber is far less than the collusion strength among cotton fibers which is 0.51 cN;with the extension of the wetting time,the strength of the fiber is falling,the dispersion of breaking strength of akund fibers is increased;friction coefficient of akund fiber was 0.33,much less than cotton fiber friction coefficient,the proportion of cellulose,hemicelluloses,pectin,wax,lignin,and ash in akund fiber is 66.12%,21.80%,3.39%,3.69%,8.99%,1.79%;the shape of akund fiber cross-section is oval,the wall of the fiber is very thin,the hollow diameter of akund fiber is 20um?28um,hollow degree of akund fiber is up to 80%,the width of the wall thickness ratio between the width and the wall thickness is 20.(2)Based on the basic properties of akund fiber,the pretreatment process has been studied with the aim of fiber weight gain and increasing friction by orthogonal test and comparative method,the best pretreatment optimum is the 50g/1 solution of calcium chloride,3%mass fraction glycerol,additives are Leveling Agent O and cellulose softener,the optimum treatment time is three days,with approach of spraying,the fiber weight gain rate is about 7.8%,friction increasing rate is about 21%,the pretreatment process has achieved the effect of weight gain,increasing friction,providing a basis for the flowing spun process.(3)The spinning process principle of akund/cotton blended yarn has been studied,the conclusition was got which was minimizing the damage and increasing the cohesion among fibers and taking full advantage of the nature properties of akund is the main principles during the yarn spinning process,at last,the basic performance yarns,such as strength,hairiness and evenness has been tested,indicating that the spun yarn after pretreatment process meet the demand of weaving.
