With the sustained and rapid development of the construction industry, the reform of wall materials is becoming a new research focus.According to the wall materials innovation "twelfth five-year" development planning, under the premise of saving energy, protecting the environment and accelerating the construction of the new countryside in Henan province, this research project is promoted and performed. The goal of this project is to get the wall material innovation and make a contribution to build a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society.Related research work and the main research result are formulated into the following aspects:At first, wasted bricks are mechanically crushed and screened to get recycled coarse aggregate. This recycled coarse aggregate is used to make recycled concrete instead of using traditional concrete coarse aggregate. Then physical properties of the recycled coarse aggregate, such as grain size distribution, water absorption and aggregate strength are researched.Using the traditional concrete mixture ration design as a reference, the mixture ratio of recycled coarse aggregate and other materials are studied and designed. At last, recycled concrete with C20 strength grade is produced. The compression resistance of recycled concrete is researched and its comparison with traditional concrete is made. Two shear walls are built. They are combined with wing walls and have different axial compression rations.Low cyclic reversed horizontal loading tests are performed on these two shear walls. The earthquake resistance(seismic performance)of these two structures, including bearing capacity, deformation capacity, hysteresis ring shape, stiffness degradation, ductility and energy dissipation capacity, etc.is researched.By comparing the seismic performance of these two structures, the connection between the seismic performance and the axial compression ratio is illustrated. The result demonstrated the effectiveness of applying the current “Design of Concrete Structures” standard on building shear walls using cycled concrete. In return, this research provides the foundation to use recycled concrete in the construction of “Xin Nong cun ”.Furthermore, the above mentioned two T form shear walls are analyzed by using ANSYS(general-purpose finite element analysis software). An approximate analysis model is built up to provide a reference to the computer simulation of the experiment in the future. This model is programmed by using APDL language. In this model, the focus is to build the constitutive relations of recycled concrete that are suit for cyclic repeated loads analysis. At the same time, influence factors, such as material nonlinearity and stiffness degradation are also considered.A comparison between the computation result and the actual experiment result demonstrated the effectiveness of this model.
