Research On Application Of Alcohol Wastewater Treatment By CARRIER CASS Process

In connection with the characteristics and the existing problems of the alcohol wastewater,and in this experiment,the alcohol wastewater were treated by the CARRIER-CASS process which is a new kind of Hybrid Biological Reactor combined with the activated sludge process and biofilm process.The article firstly study the growth pattern of the biofilm and the startup process of CARRIER-CASS,secondly optimization of the suspended carrier filling ratio,thirdly analysis with the other relevant.process parameters which affecting the system,in the last,CARRIER-CASS process were compared with CASS about the effluent.In the startup of training biofilm,the biofilm was trained by alcohol wastewater with 40%carrier filling ratio.The maturation time of biofilm was 40 days respectively,with the mature biomass of 75.04mg/g.The study of characteristics of the biofilm showed that:after observing under a microscope the microorganisms is affluent.In the startup of training biofilm,the average of the removal rates of CODcr was 75.38%and the average of the removal rates of NH4+-N was 95.97%.Through the study of the impact parameter of the CARRIER-CASS process in the effect of pollutants removal,the experimental results showed that:feeding pattern was instantaneous,aerobic time was 4h,precipitation time was 1h and drainage time was 1h,the carrier filling ratio was 30%,influence of water filling ratio was 1/3,MLSS was 4200mg/L,the average DO was 3.5mg/L,The volume proportion of the pre-reaction zone was 25%.In the optimal conditions,the average of the effluent COD was 74.13 mg/L and the average of the effluent NH4+-N was 0.85 mg/L,The average of effluent TN was 3.56mg/L.The water quality of effluent was content with the discharge standard of water pollutants for fermentation alcohol and distilled spirits industry.In the same water quality conditions,CARRIER-CASS was compare with the CASS about the effluent.Water quality indicators of the CARRIER-CASS process were better than the CASS process in the aeration 4h.The results showed that:the CARRIER-CASS process which has advantages of large biomass short aeration time and strong anti-shock loading capability.
