Study On Fungicide Formulation Based On Extract From The Artemisia Capillaries

As traditional Chinese medicine,A.capillaris distribute scale rang of resource in China.Some research of A.capillaries showed that the plant exhibit agricultural activities.However there are little reports about pesticides preparation A.capillaris components.So our investment was based on the research of Research and Development Centre of Rational Pesticide in Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University,chose A.capillaris extract as material,developed a qualified pesticide preparation,which is kind of soluble concentrate(SL),by screening appropriate solvent and emulgator.We detected its active ingredients by HPLC,antimicrobial activity by bioassay.The main results are as follow:(1)We measured the inhibition effect of A.capillaris ethanol extract against mycelium growth of 23 kinds of phytopathogen.The results showed that the inhibition rate was greater than 60%in concentration of 50 mg/mL dry sample,for Fusarium gramineatum,sclerotinia sclerotiorum,Rhizoctonia solani,pellicularia sasakii,the inhibition rate was 100%.The 50%inhibition concentration(EC50)of ethanol extract and compound of A.capillaris scoparone against Phytophthora infestans were 1.36mg/mL and 0.19mg/mL.We considered that scoparone is one of antimicrobial activity compounds in A.capillaries.(2)We regarded scoparone concentration as detect indicator to develop the proper extraction process.When mix A.capillaris sample with 8-fold 65%ethanol,heat for 1.5 hours,and extract three times,the scoparone level reached the highest 0.038%.(3)We developed one SL based on 10%A.capillaris extract,which physical and chemic,al properties accord with the standard rule.The detail recipe is 10%A.capillaris extract,40%ethanol,12%Twain 80,10%n-butyl acetate,and add water to 100%.(4)We set up quality analysis method of 10%A.capillaris extract SL by detecting the scoparone concentration by HPLC.The results of accuracy experiments showed the methods is repeatable and reliable.(5)The antimicrobial activity of 10%A.capillaris extract SL was determined on in vitro phytopathogen,such as Fusarium gramineatum,Phytophthora infestans,Botrytis cinerea,and tomato infected with Botrytis cinerea,Phytophthora infestans,wheat infected with Erysiphe cichoracearum.The EC50 against pellicularia sasakii was 63.1 mg/mL,which was better than others.At 1000mg/L,the 10%A.capillaris extract SL showed a equal therapeutic effect and protective effect with the contrast pesticide procymidone,against Botrytis cinerea on tomato,and a therapeutic effect of 58.69%and a protective effect of 53.01%against Phytophthora infestans on tomato,and a therapeutic effect of 68.75%and a protective effect of 57.33%against Erysiphe cichoracearum on wheat.The field trial of 10%A.capillaris extract SL was conducted at 1000mg/L against Botrytis cinerea on tomato,the control efficiency reached 72.04%.In conclusion,the 10%A.capillaris extract SL is worth with more reseach,with good prospects for development.
